Pop star and business mogul Rihanna unveiled her latest Fenty X Puma collection at BLT Studios in Los Angeles on Thursday, marking another milestone in her decade-long partnership with the German sportswear brand. The event showcased the new ‘Avanti’ collection, featuring the $150 ‘Avanti VL’ sneakers.
The 36-year-old entrepreneur, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, appeared at the press conference wearing a colorfully-striped maxi-cardigan paired with her collection’s white sneakers.
The shoes, notable for their oversized flap tongue design, will be available in various sizes for both adults and children.

During the event, Rihanna embraced her role as a mother of two, wearing a “Soccer Mom” statement in gold letters. The nine-time Grammy winner interacted with children present at the launch, demonstrating the family-friendly appeal of her new footwear line.
The launch represents another venture in Rihanna’s expanding business empire. Her previous success includes the $3 billion lingerie line Savage X Fenty and the $600 million cosmetics company Fenty Beauty. The brand has since grown to encompass Fenty Skin, Fenty Fragrance, and Fenty Hair.
Professional styling team members contributed to Rihanna’s appearance at the event. Hairstylist Yusef created her black flipped bob hairstyle, while makeup artist Priscilla Ono handled her makeup, working alongside stylist Jahleel Weaver to complete the look.
The press conference coincided with news about Rihanna’s partner, A$AP Rocky, whose legal proceedings have taken an unexpected turn. The rapper’s criminal assault jury trial, initially scheduled for November 12, has been postponed to January 21, 2025.
The trial delay was granted to accommodate A$AP Rocky’s scheduled performance at Rolling Loud Thailand. The event, set for November 22 at Legend Siam Pattaya theme park in Na Chom Thian, has been described as a “benefit concert,” though no charitable organizations are currently associated with the festival.

Ticket prices for Rolling Loud Thailand range from $270 to $425 for single-day passes and $650 to $1,020 for three-day passes. Rolling Loud co-founder Matt Zingler has previously discussed the business model, noting that festival returns on investment typically range between 10-50%.
The legal case against A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, involves two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm. The charges stem from a 2021 incident involving his former friend A$AP Relli, born Terell Ephron. Rocky has entered a not guilty plea.
Prosecutors have obtained video evidence allegedly showing Rocky holding a firearm, though no footage exists of the actual shooting incident involving Ephron’s hand. If convicted, the rapper faces up to eight years in prison.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark Arnold has made accommodations for Rihanna to attend the trial, which is expected to last between seven and ten days. “If she wants to come she can come,” Arnold stated during Tuesday’s hearing.
The couple recently returned from Rihanna’s native Barbados before the court proceedings. Rocky’s upcoming fourth studio album, “Don’t Be Dumb,” is reportedly scheduled for release in November.
Meanwhile, Rihanna continues to expand her entertainment portfolio. She is set to produce and voice Smurfette in Paramount Animation’s upcoming “The Smurfs Movie,” scheduled for release on February 14, 2025. The project will also feature her original songs alongside a star-studded cast including Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, and Octavia Spencer.
