The Uniswap (UNI) token experienced a significant rally, moving from $6.63 to $8.49, after the United States Securities and Exchange Commission unveiled a temporary framework permitting specific tokenized US equities to be traded via permissioned automated market maker (AMM) systems.

While the SEC hasn’t issued a direct approval or endorsement for Uniswap or its v4 protocol specifically, the regulatory body established a compliance pathway for tokenized stock trading utilizing permissioned AMM infrastructureāa structure that mirrors what Uniswap has already developed and deployed.
In July 2026, Uniswap introduced its Permissioned Pools feature, collaborating with organizations such as Superstate, Securitize, and Dowgo. These specialized pools limit access to whitelisted wallets through on-chain compliance mechanisms, positioning them as an ideal match for the SEC’s newly established framework.
Additionally, the SEC’s framework provides conditional regulatory relief to qualified liquidity providers who support these compliant pools, potentially creating new revenue opportunities for ecosystem participants on Uniswap.
UNI successfully broke through the $6.50 resistance barrier and momentarily reached $8.86 before stabilizing around $8.53. This price movement coincided with elevated trading activity, while open interest expanded to 11.21 million UNI tokens, indicating increased participation in derivatives markets.
Market analyst Crypto Patel highlighted on X that UNI has gained 285% from his recommended accumulation range, stating that attention is now focused on the $9.50 level. According to his analysis, a successful break above $9.50 with sustained momentum could pave the way toward $14, $26, and ultimately $50, whereas a rejection might establish $5.40 as the crucial support threshold.
Technical Analysis of UNI
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) climbed to 76.24, positioning UNI in overbought conditions. While this metric reinforces the bullish momentum, it simultaneously suggests the potential for near-term consolidation or pullback.
UNI is currently trading above all major exponential moving averagesāthe 20, 50, 100, and 200 periods. Bollinger Bands show expansion, with the upper boundary positioned near $7.55 while the 20-period simple moving average around $5.99 provides dynamic support.
Platform Expansion Strengthens Fundamentals
Looking beyond price movements, Uniswap facilitated more than $70 billion in trading volume during the previous month. The decentralized exchange currently supports over 1,700 tokenized real-world assets on its platform.
Latest platform integrations feature Ink across Uniswap’s Web Application, Wallet interface, and API services, along with Arc integration spanning Uniswap v2, v3, v4, UniswapX, and the Trading API infrastructure.
According to derivatives data from Coinglass, trading volume increased by 64.27% to reach $1.23 billion, while open interest rose 16.19% to $569.95 million.
Near-term resistance barriers are located between $8.63 and $8.86. A successful breakout above this range could drive UNI toward $9.30 initially, followed by $10.15, with $12 representing the extended monthly target.
