Ripple Prime, the institutional brokerage division of crypto firm Ripple, has introduced a delta one trading operation enabling institutional investors to access US equities, major indexes, and cryptocurrency assets through a unified platform.
The newly launched offering enables institutions to engage in total return swap transactions, providing economic participation in equity markets without requiring direct asset ownership. The service primarily targets hedge funds, investment managers, ETF creators, and professional market makers.
Understanding the Delta One Service
Delta one instruments replicate the performance of underlying assets without necessitating physical ownership. Ripple Prime’s implementation encompasses US-listed stocks, equity indexes, and cryptocurrency tokens within a single integrated framework.
Institutional clients can manage cross-margined positions spanning these diverse asset categories with continuous 24/7 availability. This round-the-clock functionality aligns traditional financial instruments with the perpetual operational model already standard in cryptocurrency trading.
According to Ripple Prime President Noel Kimmel, the service represents a logical progression for the platform. He noted that institutional clients have consistently requested unified cross-asset exposure through a consolidated counterparty relationship.
The company emphasizes its focus exclusively on clearing and financing operations, deliberately separating delta one services from market-making or proprietary trading activities. Ripple maintains this operational separation minimizes conflicts of interest with institutional client relationships.
Capital Structure and Financial Resources
Ripple Prime successfully completed a $275 million private placement of senior unsecured notes this month. The company also arranged a $200 million debt facility through funds administered by Neuberger Specialty Finance earlier in the year.
The brokerage currently maintains regulatory net capital exceeding $1 billion. Kimmel indicated these funds will support expansion of personnel and technological infrastructure.
Ripple Prime emerged from Ripple’s $1.25 billion purchase of Hidden Road, finalized in 2025. This transaction provided Ripple with an established prime brokerage platform serving institutional clients across conventional and digital asset markets.
The delta one service launch represents a deeper expansion into traditional finance sectors. Ripple’s strategic vision involves creating a comprehensive bridge between conventional financial systems and cryptocurrency markets, complementing its Ripple National Trust Bank initiative.
