Details of the Ullal Sale
An SEC filing shows Ullal sold 158,543 of her Arista stock on Oct. 8 and Oct. 9. Prices ranged from $217 to $217.35, for a total of $34.4 million.
The stock was held in three trusts, two of them for her children. She still holds nearly 25 million units indirectly and 9,917 directly.
Those holdings equal about 2% of Aristaās 1.26 billion outstanding stock. Based on Thursdayās close of $185.58, her stake was worth over $4.6 billion.
The sales fall under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted on Nov. 14, 2025. These plans are meant to shield insiders from claims of illegal trading.
The plan allows sales of up to 5,726,000 units of common stock. It also covers an unspecified number tied to performance-restricted stock unit grants, and it expires on Feb. 20, 2027.
Bloombergās Billionaires Index puts her net worth at about $7.76 billion. More than half of that is tied to Arista.
Record Highs and the AI Push
Her sales landed right at the peak. Arista touched $217.41 and closed at a record $216.74 on Oct. 9 before backing off.

The Motley Fool notes Arista has also outpaced both Cisco and Nvidia in 2026. Not bad for a networking name that rarely grabs the AI spotlight.
On Oct. 7, Arista announced a rack-scale networking design with partners including AMD, Broadcom, Meta, Microsoft and Qualcomm. The Etherlink SU-144 links up to 144 AI accelerators in a single hop and scales to 1,024 across racks.
In June, Arista launched its 7060XE7 Series for AI data centers. It supports 1.6 terabit per second connections and about 100 terabits per second of total system bandwidth.
Second-quarter revenue came in at $3.03 billion, up 37.7% from a year ago. Net income was $1.21 billion, and diluted earnings per share were $0.95, up from $0.70.
Arista reports third-quarter earnings on Nov. 3. It has guided for revenue of $3.3 billion and diluted earnings per share of $1.06 to $1.08.
