Shares of Gaxos.ai $GXAI ended Wednesday’s regular trading session at $0.87, declining 1.69%, before skyrocketing 66.57% to $1.45 during after-hours activity following the release of second-quarter financial results.
The financial performance delivered impressive results across the board. Quarterly revenue reached a company record of $2.46 million, surpassing Wall Street’s consensus estimate of $1.75 million by 40.4%. This represents sequential growth of 35.8% compared to Q1 and an explosive 1,337% increase from the $0.17 million reported during the same period last year.
The company reported GAAP net income of $241,056 for the quarter, translating to $0.02 per diluted share. This represented a significant upside surprise, as analysts had projected a loss of $0.15 per share—making the actual result a 113.3% outperformance.
Chief Executive Officer Vadim Mats attributed the strong performance to “the scalability of our operating platforms” along with a focused strategy on sustainable growth and prudent capital deployment.
Enhanced Marketing Return on Investment
A standout element of the quarterly report was the company’s improved marketing productivity. While advertising and marketing expenditures increased by just 13.5% during Q2, revenue climbed 35.8%—illustrating meaningful operating leverage.
The revenue generated per dollar of advertising spend improved approximately 20%, rising from $0.65 in the first quarter to $0.78 in the second quarter. Meanwhile, advertising expense as a proportion of total revenue declined from roughly 153% in Q1 to 128% in Q2.
According to Mats, the organization is “concentrating spending on customer segments, marketing channels and products demonstrating the strongest retention and contribution economics.”
Divestiture of Gaming Portfolio
Throughout the second quarter, Gaxos finalized the divestiture of nearly all its gaming-related assets, which included its mobile gaming titles and Gaxos Gaming Labs division, to Game Foundry AI. As consideration for the transaction, Gaxos obtained 2.2 million shares of Game Foundry AI common stock, assigned a transaction value of roughly $1.76 million.
The positive GAAP net income recorded during the period was largely attributable to the gain recognized from this gaming asset transaction.
Additionally, Gaxos maintains a 19.99% equity stake in America First Defense.AI LLC, a defense-focused technology enterprise.
The company’s cash position and short-term investments totaled approximately $11.44 million as of June 30, 2026, representing a modest decline from the $11.71 million reported at the conclusion of the first quarter.
Looking ahead to the remainder of 2026, management indicated plans to prioritize expanding recurring revenue streams, enhancing customer acquisition efficiency, and scaling product offerings that demonstrate attractive unit economics.
As of August 12, 2026, the company had 10,744,634 common shares outstanding. GXAI carries a market capitalization of approximately $9.31 million with a relative strength index (RSI) of 39.25 before the after-hours surge.
During the trailing 52-week period, shares have fluctuated within a range of $0.73 to $2.96. Before Wednesday’s extended-hours rally, the stock was trading near the lower end of its yearly range.
