The milestone valuation arrived on the heels of an impressive quarterly financial performance. The company delivered second quarter earnings per share of $2.22, surpassing analyst projections of $1.77 by a substantial $0.45 margin. Total revenue reached $1.29 billion, representing a 32.5% year-over-year increase and exceeding the Street’s $1.23 billion forecast.
This performance represents a dramatic improvement from the $0.86 EPS reported in the comparable quarter of the prior year, a leap that garnered significant attention from the investment community.
Looking ahead, Five Below provided full-year guidance projecting EPS between $8.65 and $9.05. The analyst community currently anticipates $9.08 in earnings per share for fiscal year 2026.
According to a recently filed 13F disclosure, BlackRock accumulated 5.37 million shares of Five Below during the second quarter, representing an investment of approximately $965 million. This transaction established the investment management giant as a 9.71% stakeholder in the retailer.
