The collaboration software maker’s shares advanced roughly 7% during the session and have rallied an impressive 124% over the trailing six-month period.
The significant upward movement followed the company’s impressive fiscal fourth-quarter results, which saw adjusted earnings per share reach $1.87, substantially exceeding the Street’s consensus projection of $1.50. Total revenue came in at $1.77 billion, surpassing analyst forecasts of $1.66 billion and representing a robust 28% year-over-year expansion.
The company’s cloud business delivered particularly impressive results, expanding 31% to reach $1.21 billion. Deferred revenue commitments, measured as remaining performance obligations, surged 44% to $4.8 billion, signaling robust future revenue visibility.
The quarter also represented a significant financial milestone for Atlassian, as the company achieved its first GAAP operating profit in more than two years, posting a 12% operating margin. This profitability achievement resonated positively with the investment community.
Wall Street Analysts Boost Ratings
Royal Bank of Canada elevated Atlassian to a “Moderate Buy” rating on Tuesday, joining a wave of favorable analyst actions. Truist Financial increased its price objective from $160 to $185 while maintaining its Buy recommendation. Jefferies established a $200 price target. BMO Capital Markets raised its target from $95 to $175 with an Outperform designation.
Bank of America moved the stock to Buy and increased its target to $175. FBN Securities elevated its objective to $170 with an Outperform rating. Robert W. Baird established a $200 price target.
However, not all Street voices are optimistic. TD Cowen maintains a Hold rating with a $145 objective, while Zacks downgraded the shares to Hold in June.
Overall, 25 Wall Street analysts maintain Buy ratings on TEAM, four recommend Hold positions, and one has issued a Sell rating. The Street’s consensus price objective stands at $178.63.
