Strive completed a 1,355 bitcoin acquisition worth approximately $107.7 million during the previous week, bringing total reserves to 26,355 BTC. The purchase occurred between Sept. 14 and Sept. 18 at an average price of $79,475 per coin. With Bitcoin trading around $85,600 on Monday, Strive’s position exceeded $2.25 billion in market value.
Strive Expands Position With 1,355 BTC Purchase
Strive maintains its position as the fifth-largest publicly traded Bitcoin holder, ranking behind Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet and MARA. Reaching Twenty One’s 43,514 BTC would require acquiring another 17,160 BTC. To achieve this target by year-end 2026, Strive would need to purchase approximately 1,226 BTC each week across the remaining 14 weeks.
Strive previously expanded its treasury to 25,000 BTC through a 469 BTC purchase worth $36.6 million the week prior. That transaction utilized SATA preferred stock financing. Recent disclosures revealed nearly 786,000 warrant exercises producing approximately $21.2 million in gross capital.
Strategy Resumes Bitcoin Accumulation Activity
Strategy reentered the acquisition market following a two-week pause in Bitcoin purchases. The firm secured 950 BTC for roughly $75.7 million during the Sept. 14-20 period. With an average cost of $79,670 per coin, Strategy now controls 846,000 BTC.
Prior to this purchase, Strategy allocated capital toward preferred-share buybacks while temporarily halting Bitcoin accumulation. Approximately $174 million went toward repurchasing STRC preferred shares. Strategy’s total Bitcoin position represents a cost basis of roughly $63.8 billion at an average of $75,416 per coin.
Bitcoin Rally Elevates Corporate Treasury Valuations
Bitcoin climbed above $85,000 for the first time since January. The cryptocurrency recorded gains exceeding 5% during a 24-hour period, triggering approximately $648 million in short position liquidations. This upward movement brought multiple corporate Bitcoin holdings above their estimated average cost basis near $80,500.
Wider corporate acquisition activity has decreased recently. Strategy suspended Bitcoin purchases for two weeks before resuming. Publicly traded firms accumulated roughly 5,900 BTC during the past three months, contrasting with approximately 89,000 BTC acquired in July 2025 alone. Combined spending from Strive and Strategy totaled about $183 million on Bitcoin last week.
Strategy’s Bitcoin treasury carries a market value near $71.9 billion at $85,000 per coin. This valuation sits approximately $8.1 billion above total acquisition costs. Strive shares reached around $29.65 on Monday following TD Cowen’s price target increase to $44 and revised year-end holdings projection of 32,105 BTC.
