November Elections Influence Cryptocurrency Lobbying Approach
Stand With Crypto characterized the midterm elections as a critical juncture for cryptocurrency regulation in the nation’s capital. Executive Director Mason Lynaugh noted that candidates from both major parties are working to engage voters outside conventional political constituencies.
The organization publicly evaluates candidates according to their cryptocurrency policy positions. Senate endorsements and backing for non-incumbent candidates will be unveiled nearer to election day.
These endorsements exclude direct financial contributions to campaigns. Candidates earning favorable cryptocurrency ratings may receive funding from industry political action committees, such as Fairshake and affiliated organizations.
Fairshake reports having $122 million ready for deployment in electoral activities before November. The super PAC indicated that its primary election expenditures funded promotional campaigns for 49 candidates who subsequently secured victories.
