Silicon Motion plans to showcase five distinct storage product categories at FMS 2026 in Santa Clara, scheduled from August 4 to August 6. The exhibition will spotlight solutions for enterprise data centers, AI computing infrastructure, server environments, industrial systems, automotive applications, robotics platforms, and distributed edge networks. This comprehensive portfolio responds to escalating storage requirements driven by real-time AI inference, cache optimization, massive dataset management, and consistent data retrieval performance.
The flagship SM8466 enterprise-grade controller leverages PCIe Gen6 architecture to achieve sequential data transfer rates of 28 gigabytes per second for intensive computational tasks. This controller handles seven million random input-output operations per second and enables solid-state drive implementations surpassing 512 terabytes for next-generation deployments. Silicon Motion engineered this solution specifically for AI data centers, large-scale inference operations, data-intensive applications, and ultra-high-capacity storage environments across global markets.
Additionally, the company plans to demonstrate its SM8366 MonTitan development platform optimized for cache offloading and expansive AI infrastructure implementations. This platform accommodates U.2, E3.S, and E3.L physical formats while supporting both TLC and QLC NAND memory technologies across varied capacity tiers. Storage options span from 32 terabytes using TLC NAND configurations up to 256 terabytes utilizing high-density QLC NAND technology.

Targeting enterprise boot applications, Silicon Motion will demonstrate NVMe-based products for server platforms, network infrastructure, computational processors, and AI storage architectures. The SM8008 controller achieves 14 gigabytes per second via PCIe Gen5 connectivity while maintaining power consumption below five watts during active use. This technology enables energy-efficient server configurations requiring secure, reliable, and consistent boot storage throughout prolonged operational lifecycles.
The company will additionally showcase two PCIe Gen5 controllers designed for high-performance AI systems and sophisticated edge computing deployments. The SM2524XT achieves read speeds of 14.5 gigabytes per second and handles 2.8 million random operations while operating efficiently without requiring dedicated DRAM components. The SM2508 delivers equivalent read and write performance with 2.5 million random operations for intensive local processing requirements.
Furthermore, Silicon Motion will present solutions for mobile devices, wearable technology, smart home systems, industrial automation, automotive platforms, robotics applications, unmanned aerial vehicles, and various embedded environments.
