Shiba Inu experienced a significant acceleration in token destruction activity as the burn rate jumped 131.2% following the removal of 13.2 million tokens over a 24-hour span. SHIB burn operations included 13 distinct transfers that considerably surpassed typical daily volumes from the prior seven days. Despite this heightened destruction activity, price momentum remained subdued as exchange holdings expanded to 86.32 trillion tokens.
Major Transfer Accounts for Bulk of Daily Destruction
Shibburn data showed that the community directed 13.2 million SHIB to permanently locked addresses during the measurement window. This destruction campaign removed tokens from available supply while pushing daily activity well above the prior week’s average. Typical daily removal volumes had remained under seven million SHIB throughout most of the previous seven-day period.
One anonymous wallet holder executed the day’s dominant transaction by transferring 9.7 million SHIB from CEX.IO directly to the verified burn address. This single operation represented the overwhelming majority of tokens destroyed and took place approximately 24 hours before data collection. The wallet owner’s motivation and identity have remained unknown.
A separate participant removed roughly 1.2 million SHIB tokens just hours ahead of publication time. This transaction ranked second among all 13 recorded transfers for the period. Combined, these top operations comprised the vast majority of tokens eliminated during the cycle.
Extended Timeframe Data Shows Elevated Destruction Levels
Recent burning activity pushed the seven-day total to 45.44 million SHIB, based on Shibburn’s monitoring systems. Meanwhile, the 30-day destruction count rose to 269.9 million tokens. These metrics represent cumulative transfers to addresses that permanently lock tokens away from market circulation.
Since project inception, participants have eliminated 410.84 trillion SHIB through 21,216 individual operations. This cumulative destruction equals 41.08% of the original one quadrillion token genesis supply. Consequently, approximately 58.92% of the initial allocation remains distributed across circulating holdings and other recorded wallets.
While supply reduction creates deflationary pressure over time, immediate price action remains governed by trading demand dynamics. Recent destruction efforts failed to reverse ongoing losses across daily, weekly, and monthly timeframes. Broader market forces maintained their influence over short-term valuation trends.
Trading Platform Holdings Counter Deflationary Effects
SHIB changed hands at $0.000004143 after registering a 0.23% decrease during the latest daily session. The token also posted losses of 1.36% over seven days and 12.31% across 30 days despite accelerated burning. Month-to-date performance showed a 1.13% decline with 11 days remaining in the current period.
Shiba Inu held the 33rd position among all cryptocurrencies by market value, with total capitalization hovering near $2.43 billion. CryptoQuant metrics revealed that approximately 12.6 billion SHIB moved onto exchanges during the past day. These incoming flows substantially exceeded the quantity of tokens removed through destruction activities.
Exchange reserve balances subsequently increased to 86.32 trillion SHIB, expanding the volume held on centralized platforms. This elevated reserve level indicated greater token availability for immediate market transactions. While destruction reduced overall supply, climbing exchange inventories maintained downward pressure on near-term price performance.
