Robinhood (HOOD) received consecutive vote of confidence from prominent Wall Street institutions on Friday, with both Morgan Stanley and Barclays enhancing their valuation projections. The stock experienced premarket gains exceeding 3%, touching $118.60, extending an impressive rally that has delivered approximately 40% returns over the preceding month.
Morgan Stanley’s updated price objective climbed from $95 to $124ârepresenting an upward revision of more than 30%âwhile reaffirming its positive outlook. The investment bank’s analysts anticipate that brokerage firms and trading platforms will deliver above-consensus second quarter results, fueled by elevated market activity and increased volatility.
Benjamin Budish from Barclays similarly maintained his bullish recommendation while raising his target price from $82 to $122. His thesis centers on sustained positive trends within Robinhood’s user base and trading metrics as the firm continues its transformation beyond traditional retail brokerage services.
These latest endorsements align with recent moves from Goldman Sachs, Mizuho, and BTIG, which have collectively established twelve-month price projections ranging between $121 and $130.
HOOD concluded Thursday’s session at $115.11, registering a 1.39% advance, although transaction volumes remained beneath the thirty-day moving average of approximately 32 million shares.
Robinhood Enters Blockchain Arena to Rival Solana
The renewed analyst enthusiasm partially stems from Robinhood’s aggressive expansion into cryptocurrency and distributed ledger technologies. Beginning July 1, the platform activated continuous tokenized equity trading around the clock in over 120 nations and initiated routing of perpetual futures agreements through Lighter, a decentralized trading protocol.
The newly introduced Robinhood Chain leverages Arbitrum, a Layer-2 scaling solution built atop Ethereum. The network has quickly captured market attentionâRobinhood Chain exceeded Hyperliquid in daily decentralized exchange transaction volume, while its total value locked (TVL) crossed the $100 million threshold just days after deployment.
This strategic initiative places Robinhood in direct competition with Solana, which presently processes over 95% of worldwide tokenized equity trading activity and maintains $568.1 million in tokenized stock holdings. Solana’s reputation for rapid transaction processing and minimal fees has established it as the preferred infrastructure for tokenized financial instruments.
Robinhood opted against Solana integration, selecting Arbitrum as its foundation instead. While Arbitrum operates with lower throughput and higher costs compared to Solana, Robinhood’s established user base of 28 million customers spanning 38 nations provides a significant distribution network that rivals cannot easily duplicate.
Implications for the Tokenized Equity Landscape
Solana maintains its aggressive growth trajectory. The network’s on-chain real-world asset holdings expanded from $1.4 billion to $3.3 billion during the January through early July 2026 timeframe, attracting major financial institutions including Bitwise, State Street, and Amundi as asset issuers.
Institutional participants may gravitate toward Solana to circumvent potential conflicts arising from utilizing a competitor’s proprietary blockchain infrastructure.
Robinhood’s meme token ecosystem has also demonstrated significant momentum. Cash Cat (CASHCAT), a native token on Robinhood Chain, experienced price appreciation exceeding 1,000% across three days and registered approximately 80% gains within the latest 24-hour period, currently trading at $0.172.
Bitcoin advanced more than 3% to reach $64,556 on Friday, providing additional support for cryptocurrency-exposed equities including HOOD.
Robinhood generates approximately $157 in annual revenue per funded account and currently serves 28 million users worldwide.
