Ripple created an additional 10 million RLUSD tokens on the XRP Ledger on August 17, increasing available supply as the stablecoin gains traction in payment systems and regulated financial environments. According to XRPScan records, the minting transaction required a fee of 0.000405 XRP for confirmation. Ripple continues developing distribution infrastructure for the stablecoin as overall supply grows.
Fresh Token Issuance Details
Ripple’s RLUSD issuer address generated the 10 million tokens and transferred them to a specific RLUSD receiving account. The operation employed a two-signer multisignature configuration and specified a maximum delivery quantity of 10 million RLUSD.
According to CoinGecko, RLUSD circulation has reached 1.711 billion tokens. The stablecoin generated approximately $58 million in trading activity during the previous 24-hour window, while its overall market value has expanded following its December 2024 introduction. This minting operation comes alongside recent initiatives to integrate RLUSD with regulated trading platforms, payment infrastructure and compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
Business Payment Infrastructure Grows
Ripple enhanced RLUSD’s enterprise payment capabilities in July by partnering with Notabene. This collaboration integrated RLUSD into Notabene Flow, a system built for business-to-business stablecoin transactions.
Both organizations are examining potential connections between Notabene’s transaction authorization and compliance infrastructure and Ripple Payments. This initiative focuses on regulated payment workflows for enterprises utilizing stablecoins across various jurisdictions. These developments extend availability for commercial entities and customers through both consumer and institutional pathways.
Geographic Expansion to Japan and Türkiye
RLUSD became available in Japan during June after receiving clearance from the Japan Financial Services Agency. SBI VC Trade introduced the stablecoin via its VCTRADE platform for both institutional and retail users.
SBI characterized RLUSD as Japan’s initial stablecoin managed under the nation’s fourth category of electronic payment instruments. Ripple simultaneously expanded presence in Türkiye through collaborations with BiLira, Bitexen and Bitlo, providing institutions with additional channels to access RLUSD.
