In a significant secondary transaction, Revolut has achieved a $115 billion valuation, cementing its position as Europe’s highest-valued private technology company. The employee share sale set the per-share price at $2,017, enabling current employees and early investors to liquidate their holdings without the company raising additional funds.
This latest valuation represents a substantial 53% increase from the $75 billion mark established in November 2025 and more than doubles the $45 billion valuation recorded in 2024. Neither Revolut nor participating investors have revealed the total transaction size.
According to The Wall Street Journal’s analysis, the $115 billion valuation positions Revolut above Barclays, whose market capitalization stood at approximately $95 billion during the comparison period. However, it’s important to note that these valuations differ fundamentally — Revolut’s stems from private transactions while Barclays’ reflects publicly traded stock prices.
Impressive 2025 Financial Performance Justifies Premium Valuation
Revolut disclosed annual revenue of $6 billion for 2025, representing a 46% year-over-year increase. The company’s pre-tax profits surged 57% to reach $2.3 billion. After-tax profits totaled $1.7 billion, delivering a robust 38% pre-tax profit margin.
User acquisition maintained strong momentum throughout the year. The platform closed 2025 with 68.3 million retail users, adding 16 million new customers during the 12-month period. Current figures on the company’s website indicate that total customer count has now surpassed 75 million. Transaction volumes increased by 65% to $1.7 trillion annually.
The company’s diversified revenue streams showed strength across the board, with eleven distinct product categories each contributing at least $135 million in yearly revenue. The wealth management division, encompassing cryptocurrency services, grew 31% to generate $876 million.
In a March statement, CEO Nik Storonsky declared: “We have only just begun to show what is possible.”
Regulatory Approvals and Crypto Expansion Drive International Growth
The platform enables users to access more than 200 cryptocurrency tokens through its primary application and operates Revolut X, a dedicated digital asset exchange. Last October, the company obtained a MiCA license through Cyprus, unlocking regulated cryptocurrency operations throughout the European Union.
Additionally, Revolut received conditional approval from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority to launch crypto trading services in the United Arab Emirates. The company awaits final regulatory clearance.
Regarding traditional banking operations, Revolut secured full UK banking authorization in March 2026. This crucial license enables the company to offer deposit accounts, credit products, and lending services within Britain.
The fintech firm also submitted an application for a US national bank charter with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in March. Upon approval, Revolut intends to launch stablecoin services, multi-currency banking, equity trading, and cryptocurrency products for American customers.
Storonsky has publicly stated that Revolut won’t pursue a public listing before 2028. Market speculation has suggested a potential IPO valuation reaching $200 billion, though the company hasn’t confirmed any specific timeline or target price.
The $115 billion secondary transaction represents the most recent private market valuation as Revolut continues building its global banking and cryptocurrency infrastructure.
