Raydium (RAY) has delivered impressive gains of approximately 9% on Thursday, building on a 41% surge that commenced over the weekend. The token has appreciated 96.5% across the previous seven days, marking its strongest price level since January.

This explosive price action stems from multiple catalysts, including innovative product rollouts, unprecedented blockchain activity, and an aggressive token repurchase initiative that has reduced available supply.
The platform unveiled more than 15 tokenized versions of prominent US equities on the Solana blockchain, featuring companies such as Boeing, Costco, Reddit, Lululemon, and Roblox. These digital assets are available for continuous trading around the clock via Backpack Securities and Sunrise Protocol. This strategic expansion connects Raydium directly to the expanding real-world asset tokenization movement within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
CoinGecko identified the primary factors contributing to this momentum. The analytics platform noted that StonkFun has migrated all new project launches to Raydium LaunchLab, tokenized equities such as Backpack’s Grindr token now utilize Raydium for liquidity, and the protocol achieved its largest buyback operation on September 9.
Additionally, Pump.fun unveiled “Custom Pairs” functionality, enabling memecoin projects to establish trading pairs with tokenized stocks and alternative assets. This development positions Raydium strategically at the convergence of two dominant trends within the Solana ecosystem: memecoin speculation and real-world asset tokenization.
Historic Token Buyback and Blockchain Metrics
On Wednesday, Raydium completed a token repurchase worth $640,788 in RAY, establishing a new record for the platform’s single-day buyback volume. The cumulative total for all buybacks has now reached $2.1 million. Such buyback programs decrease token circulation, potentially providing price support when market demand persists.

Blockchain analytics confirm the heightened engagement. Santiment tracked 1,074 unique addresses conducting their first RAY transfer on Wednesday. According to DeFiLlama metrics, SOL deposited on Raydium climbed to an unprecedented 470,817 tokens, while active wallet addresses reached 162,085 and total transactions hit 3.1 millionāboth representing monthly peaks.
Earlier this week, Raydium also integrated trading pairs for Bittensor (TAO) and Dogecoin (DOGE), further broadening its decentralized finance capabilities.
