Constructed from hypoallergenic titanium, the wearable maintains the appearance of a traditional ring. The company says its redesigned sensor framework utilizes enhanced LED technology and 12 reinforced signal channels to deliver improved accuracy across diverse skin tones and finger sizes.
Pre-orders began immediately, with deliveries commencing June 4. Standard finishes including silver and black retail for $399, while premium options such as gold and brushed silver cost $499.
Expanded Health Monitoring Capabilities
The Ring 5 introduces multiple health tracking enhancements, with most features compatible with third and fourth-generation Oura Ring models.

The refreshed Health Radar functionality analyzes biometric indicators including body temperature and breathing rate. The update adds sleep-based blood pressure pattern analysis, which Oura states can identify early cardiovascular risk indicators.
A newly introduced Nighttime Breathing capability examines a 30-day rolling period of sleep respiration patterns. It identifies irregularities and may recommend professional medical consultation when appropriate.
Oura has also introduced GLP-1 Insights designed for individuals using weight management medications. This feature enables users to record dosing schedules, document side effects, and track weight fluctuations in conjunction with biometric data captured by the ring.
Exercise Tracking and Medical Support Integration
Real-time activity monitoring is now integrated within the Oura application. Users can initiate workout sessions and view live metrics including pace, distance, and heart rate via lock screen widgets. The functionality supports external heart rate monitoring devices as well.
Through a collaboration with digital healthcare provider Counsel Health, Oura now offers AI-assisted medical consultation within its app. Users can pose health-related questions, receive tailored recommendations, and access licensed medical professionals. The service launches in 43 U.S. states, with per-visit fees applicable.
A new Health Records capability allows users to consolidate diagnosed conditions, prescription medications, and laboratory results within the application, establishing a unified health profile for individuals managing ongoing health conditions.
The Ring 5 delivers seven days of battery life on a single charge. An optional portable charging case crafted from anodized aluminum retails for $99 and provides up to 30 days of charging capacity.
Business Expansion and Public Market Plans
Oura announced it anticipates surpassing five million paying subscribers this quarter, representing a quadruple increase over a two-year span. The company confirmed a 4x revenue growth during the same timeframe.
This past October, Oura secured $900 million in Series E funding, establishing an $11 billion valuation. Total capital raised now exceeds $1.5 billion.
The company confidentially submitted a draft IPO prospectus to the Securities and Exchange Commission last week. No specific timeline for the public offering was disclosed.
CEO Tom Hale previously indicated the company could reach $2 billion in annual sales by 2026. Ring 5 membership is priced at $5.99 monthly or $69.99 annually and qualifies for FSA and HSA reimbursement.
