Nvidia’s expansion into the automotive sector received another significant endorsement this Tuesday. Chinese automotive manufacturer Chery, along with its upscale EXEED division, revealed a comprehensive strategic alliance with Nvidia during Auto China 2026 and the EXEED International Business Summit held in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China.
NVDA shares were trading 0.61% higher when the partnership was made public.
This strategic agreement encompasses three primary domains: intelligent driving assistance technology, AI-integrated cockpit systems, and robotics development. The scope is extensive, positioning EXEED among the first automotive brands to implement this technology on a commercial scale.
For autonomous vehicle development, EXEED intends to construct its Level 3 and Level 4 autonomous cars using Nvidia’s DRIVE Hyperion architecture. This comprehensive platform merges the DRIVE AGX Thor processing system, a certified sensor configuration, and Nvidia’s self-driving software into one production-ready solution.
Additionally, EXEED will leverage Nvidia Alpamayo and Nvidia Cosmos development tools to create its proprietary autonomous driving software infrastructure. According to the company, this strategy enables a hybrid methodology combining internal development with collaborative innovation.
AI-Powered Cabin Experience
For the vehicle interior, EXEED intends to deploy Nvidia DRIVE technology to develop what it characterizes as cutting-edge cockpit environments. The emphasis centers on generative AI capabilities: intuitive emotional engagement, situational awareness, and customized user services.
While this messaging resonates throughout today’s electric vehicle industry, EXEED distinguishes itself by utilizing Nvidia’s established infrastructure instead of creating proprietary solutions independently.
Extending Beyond Automobiles Into Robotics
The collaboration extends well beyond automotive applications. Via its EXEEDĂAiMOGA division, the manufacturer will employ Nvidia Jetson, Isaac Sim, and the Isaac GR00T humanoid robotics development framework to advance embodied intelligence initiativesâspanning humanoid robots and additional intelligent robotic platforms.
According to Rishi Dhall, VP of Nvidia’s Automotive Business, Chery is “accelerating the widespread adoption of intelligent vehicles,” and the partnership will extend into robotics, which he described as “the next frontier of physical AI.”
Chery positioned this agreement as fundamental to its comprehensive AI initiative, referring to objectives outlined during its 2026 AI Night presentation. EXEED serves as the flagship brand in this technological transformation, functioning as the pioneer for Chery’s intelligent technology deployment strategy.
Nvidia’s automotive sector has been consistently expanding its network of collaborators across international markets. The DRIVE Hyperion platform has emerged as a preferred reference design for automotive manufacturers pursuing advanced vehicle automation capabilities.
NVDA shares climbed 0.61% on the day this strategic partnership was publicly announced.
