Shares of Nuburu Inc. (BURU) experienced a dramatic 115.40% surge during trading, closing at $0.3707 with an increase of $0.1986. The sharp upward movement came after the company disclosed that NYSE American had officially certified its return to full compliance with exchange listing standards. This determination resolves equity-related deficiencies that had previously placed the company under regulatory scrutiny and removes the below-compliance indicator that had been attached to its listing.

Exchange Certification Drives BURU Stock Rally
Nuburu disclosed on October 29, 2026, that NYSE Regulation had officially cleared all outstanding continued listing deficiencies affecting the company. The exchange verified that the defense technology firm now satisfies the relevant standards outlined in Part 10 of the NYSE American Company Guide. As a result, BURU will be eliminated from the exchange’s publicly available roster of noncompliant issuers.
The determination also terminates the below-compliance indicator that had flagged Nuburu’s prior listing challenges. The company had been subject to minimum stockholders’ equity requirements following a pattern of losses from continuing operations and net losses. Achieving compliance represents a meaningful regulatory milestone for the dual-use defense and security platform provider.
BURU experienced robust buying activity as the compliance news circulated among market participants during the session. The stock advanced from approximately $0.17 to its closing price of $0.3707, marking a gain exceeding 115%. It’s important to note that the compliance achievement pertains to exchange listing criteria rather than signaling enhanced operational performance or a return to profitability.
Company Satisfies Equity Standards Under Extended Timeline
Nuburu’s compliance challenges originated on April 29, 2025, when NYSE Regulation issued a deficiency notification to the company. The notice referenced Section 1003(a)(i), which mandates that eligible companies maintain a minimum of $2 million in stockholders’ equity. This standard applies specifically to companies that have recorded losses in two of their three most recent fiscal years.
On July 22, 2025, NYSE American approved Nuburu’s compliance plan and set October 29, 2026, as the final deadline for resolution. The plan detailed measures the company had already implemented or planned to implement to regain compliance with continued listing standards. Nuburu subsequently worked under this approved framework while taking steps to remedy its financial shortfalls.
The exchange delivered an additional notice on May 12, 2026, identifying a more stringent equity requirement under Section 1003(a)(ii). Nuburu had disclosed a stockholders’ deficit of roughly $15.2 million as of December 31, 2025, coupled with a history of net losses. This provision mandates at least $4 million in stockholders’ equity for companies experiencing losses in three of four recent fiscal years.
Compliance Achieved, but Exchange Oversight Persists
NYSE Regulation verified on October 29, 2026, that Nuburu had successfully addressed the deficiencies under both applicable provisions. Consequently, the company will be removed from the exchange’s published noncompliant issuer roster and will no longer carry the below-compliance designation. However, NYSE American will maintain ongoing monitoring of the company through its standard listing oversight procedures.
Section 1009(h) specifies additional ramifications if Nuburu violates continued listing standards again within 12 months following the conclusion of its compliance plan. Under such circumstances, the exchange will evaluate the connection between the two compliance failures and review the company’s remediation strategy. Based on the findings, the exchange may accelerate compliance procedures or commence delisting proceedings without delay.
Nuburu functions as a dual-use defense and security integrated platform company, operating its business across interconnected strategic sectors. Executive Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer Alessandro Zamboni acknowledged the resolution and stressed the company’s dedication to financial discipline and corporate governance. The restored listing compliance eliminates an immediate regulatory barrier, though sustained adherence to exchange standards remains critical for preserving its NYSE American listing status.
