TLDR
- Meta (META) stock rose 3% on Monday, and Reuters said it hit about 4% at one point in afternoon trading.
- The company launched Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, which it calls its most capable AI models yet.
- Artificial Analysis scored Wonder Full at 56 and Wonder at 52, ahead of GPT-6 Astra and Claude Fable 5.1 at 53 for the top model.
- Abacus.AI CEO Bindu Reddy disputed the claims and said detailed benchmark results are coming.
- Wonder costs $4 per million input tokens, and Wonder Full needs a $50 or $200 monthly Muse Code plan.
Meta Platforms (META) stock rose 3.38% on Monday after the company released two new AI models. Reuters said the gain reached about 4% at one point in afternoon trading.
The models are Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full. Meta calls them its most capable AI systems to date.
Co-founder Mark Zuckerberg described the release as a step toward “personal superintelligence.” The launch follows a year of heavy spending and aggressive hiring of AI researchers.
Meta said its AI overhaul started 14 months ago. “We’ve gone from rebuilding our foundations to pushing the frontier,” the company wrote in a blog post.
What the Models Can Do
Both models add two features called Active Memory and Active Focus. Active Memory carries relevant details from one conversation to the next.
Active Focus helps the agent keep working on hard tasks. Meta says both capabilities are new with this release.
Artificial Analysis scored Wonder Full at 56 on its Intelligence Index. The standard Wonder model scored 52, and both scores came at maximum reasoning effort.
Wonder Full edged past Claude Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra, which each scored 53. Claude Opus 5.5 still leads at 58, so Meta is close but not on top.
Not everyone is convinced. Bindu Reddy, CEO of Abacus.AI, wrote on X that Muse Wonder was “nowhere near Fable or Astra level.”
Her company runs its own model evaluations. She said detailed benchmark results would follow.
Pricing and Access
Wonder is Meta’s priciest model so far. It costs $4 per million input tokens, the same as Claude Opus 5.5.
That is below GPT-6 Astra at $10 and Claude Fable 5.1 at $50. All of those prices are per million input tokens.
Wonder Full is limited to Muse Code subscribers. They need the $50 a month “power usage” plan or the $200 a month “maximum usage” plan.
Muse Code is Meta’s AI coding tool. The standard Wonder model will soon power Muse, the company’s personal AI agent, starting with subscribers.
Meta rolled out Muse last month, and the launch went well. It could give the company a way to earn revenue from its AI spending through subscriptions.
Privacy concerns still surround the product. On Monday, Meta stock was up 3.38%, and Abacus.AI says its full benchmark results are still to come.
