Available ETH across centralized trading platforms has contracted to 14,882,226 tokens as of September 8, 2026, based on data from CryptoQuant. This represents the most constrained supply level observed in multiple years.
Beginning July 1, 2025, approximately 6.4 million ETH has exited exchange wallets. Binance specifically has watched its inventory decline to roughly 3.74 million ETH, touching a three-month nadir.

This expansion elevates the company’s aggregate position to 5,929,198 ETH, currently valued at approximately $14.66 billion and accounting for roughly 4.9% of Ethereum’s complete circulating supply.
Chairman Tom Lee connected Bitmine’s equity trajectory to wider cryptocurrency market strength. He noted that ETH delivered returns exceeding the S&P 500 by 5,430 basis points spanning Q3 through the previous Friday. Lee positioned ETH within the top three performing assets since June 30, alongside Bitcoin and Solana.
Growing Institutional Appetite
American spot Ethereum ETF products have accumulated approximately $2.345 billion in cumulative net inflows beginning July 1. Combined assets under management across these investment vehicles reached $15.57 billion at the time of reporting.
Approximately 43.1 million ETH, equivalent to 35.91% of available tokens, remains locked in staking contracts. This metric underscores persistent long-horizon conviction among network participants.
ETF movement data showed a reversal on September 8, registering outflows totaling 19,667 ETH valued at $48.34 million. Nevertheless, the seven-day rolling total maintained positive territory at 15,939 ETH, translating to $39.18 million in net accumulation.
Cryptocurrency market analyst MichaĆ«l van de Poppe offered his perspective via X, stating he “wouldn’t be surprised if we’re seeing a pretty violent move upwards on $ETH from here.” Van de Poppe observed that ETH is defending support levels and indicated that breaking through the $2,520 threshold could establish a trajectory toward $3,000.
Critical Technical Zones
Market technician Ali Martinez referenced blockchain data highlighting a substantial support foundation around $2,475, where roughly 2.86 million ETH last transferred ownership. He identifies overhead friction between $2,723 and $2,822, where over 10 million ETH previously executed transactions.
Trader Daan Crypto Trades emphasized that the ETH/BTC ratio maintains positioning above 0.03, a threshold he deems essential for preserving current market architecture. The pair has recaptured both its 200-day simple and exponential moving averages, which currently reside near 0.0292 and 0.0298 respectively.
Capital markets strategist Tom DeMark, who provides guidance to Bitmine, anticipates Ethereum will continue its ascending trajectory throughout upcoming weeks based on patterns established during August.
The ETH/BTC pair currently exchanges hands near 0.0315, with 0.0320 and 0.0335 emerging as subsequent objectives should the 0.03 floor remain intact.
