Why the selloff spread
Chamath Palihapitiya pointed to the bond move on X late Tuesday. Elon Musk replied with a single word: “yikes.”

CoreWeave plans to spend $35 billion to $39 billion on infrastructure in 2026. S&P rates the company B+, which is junk territory.
What analysts and funds are saying
Paul Meeks of Freedom Capital Markets called the balance sheet “relatively bad” next to other neocloud peers. He said he does not share the repayment worries, though.
Luis Alvarado of Wells Fargo Investment Institute said investors now want more pay for taking on risk. In his view, the easy money of the first nine months is fading.
Other AI financing plans have hit snags. Firmus scrapped a $5.5 billion stock offering, and AirTrunk reportedly pushed a $1.5 billion offering to next year.
Analysts remain upbeat, with 20 Buy, five Hold and two Sell ratings. The average price target is $143.96.
ARK Invest bought about $12.4 million of CoreWeave stock on Wednesday. Earnings are due in November, and Intrator plans to address the concerns on that call.
