Broadridge Financial Solutions has joined forces with Payward Services to integrate corporate voting capabilities into qualified Tokenized Equities distributed via the xStocks platform. This collaboration merges blockchain-based asset ownership with traditional proxy mechanisms, enabling verified token holders to participate in corporate governance decisions. The initiative addresses a significant functional disparity between digital securities and conventional stock ownership.
Corporate Governance Integration Through Broadridge Platform
Broadridge will integrate its comprehensive governance infrastructure with xStocks, Payward Services’ platform designed for tokenized security distribution. Qualified token holders will verify their identity using Web3 authentication before accessing Broadridge’s ProxyVote.com portal. Once authenticated, they can examine corporate documentation and cast votes on eligible Tokenized Equities matters.
The integrated solution will distribute shareholder notifications through a digital framework designed specifically for blockchain wallet holders. Broadridge’s established proxy infrastructure will handle reporting functions, audit trails, and compliance oversight. As a result, investors can exercise standard voting privileges while remaining within the digital asset ecosystem.
Previously, Payward’s xStocks operated without connecting voting entitlements to the underlying securities. This updated framework introduces governance participation for eligible Tokenized Equities across approved jurisdictions. The voting functionality will be available exclusively where regulatory frameworks and product specifications permit such engagement.
xStocks Platform Continues Market Expansion
Payward Services has expanded its platform to include over 500 tokenized instruments, spanning equities, exchange-traded funds, and pre-public offering securities. The firm is preparing to incorporate securities from additional international exchanges. This growth positions xStocks as a comprehensive distribution network for Tokenized Equities.
Backed serves as the issuer for xStocks instruments, while Payward handles distribution through authorized channels in permitted jurisdictions. These products remain prohibited for United States and United Kingdom residents, including U.S. persons. Consequently, the new voting features will operate under identical geographic restrictions and eligibility criteria.
Payward recently collaborated with GTN to introduce Hong Kong Stock Exchange securities to the xStocks catalog. Future expansion plans target European markets, South Korea, and additional regions. These initiatives aim to broaden Tokenized Equities accessibility while adhering to jurisdictional compliance standards.
Financial Industry Advances Tokenization Infrastructure
Established financial institutions and blockchain enterprises continue developing systems for onchain securities issuance and administration. Major players including JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs have investigated comparable infrastructure as institutional interest intensifies. However, governance functionality has lagged behind advances in trading execution, settlement processes, and custodial services.
Broadridge currently provides shareholder communication services, post-settlement operations, digital wallet solutions, and custody platforms. This new partnership extends those capabilities to Tokenized Equities circulated through Payward’s infrastructure. The firm will accommodate both issuer-direct and custodian-based tokenization approaches within a unified governance framework.
The collaboration provides qualified token holders with meaningful participation in corporate decision-making processes tied to underlying enterprises. It incorporates governance mechanisms that traditional securities already deliver through established proxy channels. Consequently, Tokenized Equities acquire an essential component required for mainstream capital market adoption.
