Bloom Energy (BE) stock was up 5% in pre-market trading on Wednesday, October 21, and was priced near $234. It is trying to recover from Tuesday’s drop.
That drop came as AI energy names sold off together. A poorly received IPO from a South Korean data center company set it off.
Even with the bounce, BE is down 14.3% over the past month. Electrical equipment stocks are down 5.1% on average over the same period.
Now the focus shifts to Thursday. Bloom reports Q3 results after the close on October 22.
What the Street Wants to See in Q3
Analysts expect revenue of about $1.06 billion to $1.07 billion. That would be growth of 107% from a year ago.
In the same quarter last year, revenue grew 57.1%. So the bar is higher this time around.
Last quarter, Bloom posted $1.07 billion in revenue, up 166%. It also beat estimates for EPS and EBITDA.
Bloom rarely misses revenue forecasts. Analysts have mostly held their estimates steady over the past 30 days.
Options traders see a move of about 9% after the report. That is a big swing for a stock trading around $234.
Truist raised its price target from $218 to $240 on October 16. It kept its Hold rating in place.
The average analyst target is about $285. That is roughly 22% above the current price.
RBC Capital Markets named Bloom as well positioned for a strong recovery in the final quarter of 2026. That view has added to the pre-earnings mood.
Oracle, Peers and the Wider Market
Bloom is the main power supplier for Oracle’s Project Jupiter campus in New Mexico. The project is often cited as a key source of demand.
Last week, Oracle said construction is “progressing rapidly.” The stock rose on that update before Tuesday’s reversal.
Acuity Brands is the only electrical equipment peer to report so far. It missed revenue estimates with sales up 2.9%, and its stock did not move.
The Nasdaq is up 0.7% and the S&P 500 is up 0.2% in today’s session. That gives Bloom a mildly friendly backdrop.
Bloom’s 52-week low is $75.70. It reports earnings Thursday after the close.
