Share Price Advances Following Treasury Expansion Update
Bitmine disclosed that its combined crypto assets, cash reserves, securities, and strategic investments total roughly $11.4 billion. Beyond cryptocurrency, the firm maintains $78 million in liquid cash and marketable securities. BMNR stock experienced upward price movement in early trading after investors reviewed the treasury growth figures.
Additionally, the company maintained its active share repurchase initiative throughout the previous week. Bitmine bought back 1.7 million common shares, elevating total repurchases to more than 20.8 million shares since the program launched in July. These buybacks operate within the framework of Bitmine’s approved $4 billion repurchase authorization.
Furthermore, Bitmine secured enhanced market visibility following its inclusion in the Russell 1000 Large-Cap Index during June. The company joined the index on June 26, broadening its reach among institutional investment portfolios. Bitmine’s Series A preferred shares remain actively traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker BMNP.
Ethereum Treasury Surpasses 5.8 Million Coins
Bitmine presently controls 5,815,164 ETH, calculated at an Ethereum valuation of $1,893 per coin. These reserves constitute roughly 4.8% of Ethereum’s estimated circulating supply of 120.7 million tokens. As a result, the organization has approached very close to achieving its declared objective of owning 5% of all Ethereum.
The firm has purchased ETH consistently each week since implementing its Ethereum Treasury Strategy on June 30, 2025. Bitmine incorporated another 9,926 ETH during the most recent reporting period, sustaining its methodical accumulation approach. This steady purchasing pattern enabled the company to achieve approximately 96% of its targeted 5% ownership threshold within just 14 months.
Moreover, Bitmine has deployed the majority of its Ethereum treasury into staking operations. As of August 16, the company reported 5,067,309 staked ETH with an estimated value approaching $9.6 billion. This staked amount comprises roughly 87% of Bitmine’s entire Ethereum portfolio and generates ongoing staking rewards.
Additional Digital Assets and Strategic Investments Bolster Balance Sheet
Beyond Ethereum, Bitmine maintains a holding of 210 Bitcoin, though this represents a significantly smaller position compared to its ETH reserves. Ethereum clearly remains the cornerstone of the company’s digital asset holdings and drives its current treasury approach. Bitmine operates the largest publicly disclosed Ethereum treasury, though it trails Strategy among prominent crypto treasury corporations overall.
The organization also maintains equity stakes in various strategic ventures beyond its core cryptocurrency positions. Bitmine disclosed a $180 million investment in Beast Industries along with a $73 million stake in Eightco Holdings. These equity positions complement the company’s primary holdings of digital assets and cash reserves.
Bitmine has developed MAVAN, its Made in America Validator Network, to facilitate Ethereum staking infrastructure. While the platform was originally designed for Bitmine’s treasury needs, it now targets institutional investors, custodians, and additional participants within the Ethereum ecosystem. The company forecasts approximately $250 million in annual staking revenue as an increasing portion of its ETH enters active staking.
