BitMine added another 9,926 ETH during the past week, lifting its Ethereum holdings to 5.82 million tokens as the company moves closer to owning 5% of supply.
BitMine Ethereum Holdings Reach 5.82 Million ETH
BitMine Immersion Technologies said its Ethereum holdings reached 5,815,164 ETH as of August 16. The position represents about 4.8% of Ethereum’s total supply of roughly 120.7 million ETH.
The company acquired 9,926 ETH during the latest week. Chairman Tom Lee said BitMine has purchased Ethereum every week since launching its ETH treasury strategy on June 30, 2025. The company says it has now completed 96% of its target to own 5% of Ethereum’s supply.
At an ETH price of $1,893, BitMine’s Ethereum position was valued at about $11 billion. Its broader portfolio, including crypto, cash, marketable securities and other investments, totaled $11.4 billion.
BitMine also held 210 Bitcoin, $78 million in cash and marketable securities, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries and a $73 million Eightco position.
BitMine Stakes 87% of Its Ethereum Holdings
A large portion of the Ethereum treasury now generates staking rewards. BitMine reported 5,067,309 ETH staked as of August 16, representing about 87% of its total ETH holdings.
The staked position was worth about $9.6 billion using the company’s stated ETH price. BitMine projects annualized staking revenue of roughly $250 million based on its current operations.
Lee said BitMine’s staking operations generated a seven-day annualized yield of 2.61%. The company estimates annual staking rewards could reach $287 million once its ETH is fully staked through MAVAN and other staking partners.
BitMine launched its Made in America Validator Network, or MAVAN, earlier this year. The platform initially supports the company’s Ethereum treasury, while BitMine plans to offer the infrastructure to institutional investors and other partners.
BitMine Repurchases Another 1.7 Million Shares
Alongside its latest Ethereum purchase, BitMine repurchased 1.7 million common shares during the past week. Total repurchases have now exceeded 20.8 million shares since the beginning of July.
The purchases fall under BitMine’s previously announced $4 billion share repurchase program. Lee said the company continues to view its common shares as undervalued.
BitMine remains the largest corporate Ethereum treasury based on its reported holdings. The company continues buying ETH while pursuing its stated target of controlling 5% of Ethereum’s total supply.
