Bitget has integrated US stock options capabilities into its Stock+ trading environment, enabling qualified users to access options contracts while managing crypto, tokenized equities, foreign exchange, and additional instruments through a unified interface.
Fresh Features on Stock+
The platform introduced long call and long put contracts as its initial options products. Long call positions enable traders to speculate on upward price movement in underlying stocks. Long put contracts provide opportunities to capitalize on declining prices or serve as protective hedges for existing equity positions.
Buyers face limited downside risk—their maximum potential loss equals the premium they pay upfront for the contract. Should market conditions move contrary to expectations, the contract may lose all value upon expiration.
Before this enhancement, Bitget’s Stock+ already featured tokenized equity products and pre-IPO trading opportunities. The options addition expands strategic possibilities for traders navigating earnings reports and volatile market conditions.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen framed the launch within a larger strategic vision. “From tokenized stocks to now options, we are executing on convergence,” Chen stated. “Our products are way ahead of its time in providing advanced trading access to stocks, gold, crypto, and worldwide assets.”
Explosive Growth in US Options Markets
This rollout comes after a banner year for options activity. Throughout 2025, US options markets handled over 15.2 billion contracts, translating to approximately 60 million contracts during each trading session.
This expansion reflects increasing participation from both retail traders and institutional players utilizing options for speculation, risk management, and portfolio optimization strategies.
Bitget isn’t alone among cryptocurrency platforms pursuing this direction. Coinbase revealed intentions in June to broaden options trading across both equities and digital assets, while introducing thematic equity indexes and pre-IPO perpetual products.
Binance similarly expanded its offerings to include over 7,000 US-listed securities and exchange-traded funds for international users, while developing tokenized equity instruments through its bStocks infrastructure.
Currently, Bitget’s options functionality is limited to single-leg strategies. The exchange indicated that sophisticated multi-leg approaches will arrive in subsequent platform updates.
As an introductory incentive, qualified traders completing their first US stock options transaction may receive $15 in Nvidia shares, available while supplies last.
With this expansion, Stock+ establishes Bitget among a select group of cryptocurrency exchanges delivering crypto assets, tokenized stocks, options contracts, currency pairs, market indices, commodities, and CFDs through a single integrated platform.
