Astera Labs (ALAB) shares reached an unprecedented closing price of $287.48 Wednesday, marking an 18% single-session surge that followed Tuesday’s 13% climb. The semiconductor connectivity company has now posted 73% gains in 2026.

The dramatic two-day advance stemmed from optimistic executive remarks delivered at a J.P. Morgan technology, media and communications conference, positive sentiment surrounding upcoming Nvidia results, and a wave of Wall Street target increases.
CEO Jitendra Mohan addressed investors at Tuesday’s conference, projecting that the Scorpio product line would emerge as Astera Labs’ primary revenue source by year-end 2026.
Mohan estimated the total addressable market for the Scorpio X fabric switch at approximately $10 billion. He additionally highlighted optical networking as an emerging focus area for the company’s expansion efforts.
“We are not shy about investing to make sure that we secure our place in the future,” Mohan stated.
The firm emphasized its strategic partnership with Nvidia, particularly regarding joint development of the NVLink Fusion system designed for hyperscale cloud providers. Mohan characterized Astera Labs as “the Switzerland of connectivity” — strategically positioned to support all leading AI infrastructure platforms.
Wall Street Boosts Price Targets
Evercore ISI elevated its price objective to $297 from $215, pointing to increased hyperscaler adoption. JP Morgan lifted its target to $280 while maintaining an Overweight recommendation. Morgan Stanley adjusted its forecast to $240 from $210, also retaining Overweight.
TD Cowen increased its target to $225 from $140, though maintained a Hold stance. Rothschild & Co Redburn initiated coverage with a Neutral rating and $153 price objective.
Currently, fifteen analysts assign ALAB a Buy rating, while nine recommend Hold. The consensus price target stands at $233.75 — trailing the stock’s current trading level.
Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore characterized Astera as delivering “one of the best growth rates in our coverage, with multiple product cycles and a very strong position in key AI technology.”
First Quarter Performance Exceeds Forecasts
The recent momentum follows solid quarterly results. Astera Labs delivered Q1 earnings per share of $0.61, surpassing the $0.54 analyst consensus. Revenue totaled $308.36 million, exceeding the $292.19 million estimate.
This revenue figure represents a 93.5% jump compared to the prior-year period. Management provided second-quarter EPS guidance of $0.68–$0.70, substantially above Wall Street expectations.
Morgan Stanley identified Scorpio as “the primary driver of upside” following the first-quarter report.
Regarding institutional positioning, Csenge Advisory Group established a fresh stake valued at approximately $1.3 million during Q4. Multiple other investment firms increased their holdings.
Insider transactions paint a contrasting picture. Throughout the previous 90 days, company insiders divested 1.64 million shares totaling roughly $288.7 million. General Counsel Philip Mazzara sold 14,076 shares May 18 at $231.78 per share. The transaction related to tax liabilities from equity compensation vesting.
The stock commands a market capitalization of $49.28 billion with a price-to-earnings ratio of 194.24. Since debuting at $36 during its March 2024 initial public offering, ALAB has surged 699%.
