Marking Apple’s Return to Server Hardware After 13-Year Absence
The initiative would signal Apple’s re-entrance into enterprise server solutions, a market segment it exited when discontinuing Xserve in 2011. The original Xserve lineup operated from 2002 through 2011, utilizing Intel and IBM processors, though it struggled to capture significant market share.
