This sustained rally centers on a single driving force: artificial intelligence infrastructure requirements. Organizations building out data centers require expanded server capacity and enhanced networking equipment, positioning HPE at the core of this expansion.
Chief Financial Officer Marie Myers articulated the situation clearly during Wednesday’s proceedings. “Demand is continuing to outpace supply,” she stated in an interview with Yahoo Finance, emphasizing that AI-driven momentum shows no signs of weakening.
Networking Division Projections Increased
During its investor presentation, HPE projected fiscal 2026 networking orders would exceed $3 billion, surpassing the company’s earlier third-quarter projection of $2.5 billion to $3 billion.
Leadership also elevated revenue growth expectations for the networking segment in fiscal 2027. The revised forecast calls for growth in the high-teens to low-20s percentage range, accompanied by operating margins projected in the mid-to-high 20s.
Networking division head Rami Rahim cited the integration of Juniper and Aruba as a catalyst for optimism. He emphasized to investors that addressable market opportunities across networking segments continue expanding.
The most significant announcement involved Vultr. The private cloud infrastructure company committed to a $1.2 billion purchase of HPE’s newly launched Helios AI server racks, which utilize AMD processors.
This represents the inaugural commercial order for HPE’s Helios platform. The equipment will be deployed across Vultr’s domestic data center facilities.
Myers expressed notable enthusiasm about the technology. She characterized the networking switch displayed at the event as “a work of art,” highlighting its incorporation of 1,700 copper cables.
Analysts responded positively. Citigroup elevated its price objective from $76 to $92 while reaffirming its Buy stance. Morgan Stanley, Barclays, UBS and Zacks Research have all modified their targets or ratings during this quarter, bringing the consensus analyst target to $71.88.
