BofA Securities Upgrades CPU Market Outlook
BofA Securities analyst Vivek Arya elevated the firm’s server-CPU market size estimate for 2030 from approximately $170 billion to more than $210 billion. AMD received top-pick designation within the semiconductor coverage universe.
Arya’s investment rationale emphasizes “agentic AI,” which he believes is transforming data center infrastructure toward a more equilibrated CPU-to-GPU configuration. This represents a departure from the graphics-processor-centric deployments that have prevailed recently, positioning AMD favorably due to its superior clock frequencies and elevated core density.
The analyst highlighted both hyperscale cloud providers and enterprise server deployments as expansion opportunities for AMD moving forward.
Artificial Intelligence Partnerships and Product Pipeline

Executive leadership projected server revenue acceleration exceeding 80% in the second half of 2026 and no less than 70% throughout 2027.
