Chainlink is experiencing significant market momentum this week as major token holders continue accumulating despite encountering overhead price barriers.

Market analyst Ali Charts documented that large-scale investors purchased over 2.50 million LINK tokens during the past ten days. This accumulation phase coincides with consistent expansion in network participation metrics.
The network sees approximately 1,500 fresh LINK addresses being established daily, Ali Charts reports. While this indicates growing network adoption, it’s worth noting that some addresses may represent exchange wallets or automated protocols rather than individual retail participants.
Market commentator Quinten shared his technical perspective on recent price movement via X. He highlighted LINK’s weekly candle closure at $14.04, describing it as significant due to maintaining position above the $13.70 support level and achieving the strongest weekly finish since November 2025. Quinten emphasized that this movement also surpassed the August 30 weekly close, establishing a higher high formation. While acknowledging robust momentum, he identified the $15 zone as substantial monthly resistance, suggesting that penetrating this barrier could trigger considerable upside movement.
Critical Price Barriers in Focus
The token is presently fluctuating within the $14.33 to $14.50 corridor. Ali Charts identified $16 as a significant resistance threshold, representing a zone where approximately 16.9 million LINK tokens were historically accumulated. An additional barrier exists near $17.70, where roughly 22.7 million tokens changed hands.
Market analyst Whale Factor discussed a prolonged downtrend boundary that has constrained LINK’s price trajectory for several months. He reported that LINK has successfully breached this technical structure and is currently positioned around $14. Using Fibonacci analysis, he outlined sequential targets at $15, $17.3, $20, $23, and $28. He emphasized $20 as a pivotal threshold, stating that reclaiming this level would activate the higher price objectives.
Meanwhile, analyst Giannis Andreou drew attention to an emerging W-shaped formation on extended timeframes. He suggested this technical structure could facilitate upward movement toward $52 if the pattern continues maturing according to established parameters. He cautioned that confirmation remains pending and success depends on LINK maintaining structural integrity while overcoming resistance zones.
Expanding Reserves and Strategic Alliance
Chainlink’s underlying fundamentals have strengthened in parallel with price appreciation. During September, the Chainlink Reserve increased holdings by 373,791 LINK, representing over $4.3 million in value, elevating total reserves to 6.04 million tokens. This figure represents nearly double the Q1 closing position of 3.06 million LINK.
The Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol currently safeguards $82.39 billion in cross-chain digital assets.
In a significant development, Chainlink revealed a collaborative arrangement with Infosys, an Indian technology conglomerate whose banking platform serves 1.7 billion accounts globally. This initiative seeks to integrate legacy banking frameworks with decentralized finance markets leveraging Chainlink’s technical infrastructure. Infosys joins an established network of institutional partners including Swift, UBS, Mastercard, and DTCC.
Analytics firm Santiment observed that while the announcement lacked specific banking institution names or implementation schedules, on-chain metrics revealed 1,344 new LINK addresses emerged on the announcement date, representing approximately 19% growth above monthly averages.

Looking at data since August 1, only 11 trading days recorded superior address expansion, with the maximum of 1,929 new addresses occurring on August 21.
