U.S. Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds recorded $714.7 million in net inflows during the September 22 session. This marked the fourth straight trading day of positive fund flows. Bitcoin simultaneously pushed toward the $87,000 threshold as capital returned to regulated investment vehicles. The session highlighted renewed institutional appetite following a turbulent period.
The rally began with $159.5 million in inflows on September 17. Funds subsequently captured $433 million on September 18, followed by approximately $999 million on September 21. The four-session accumulation totaled roughly $2.31 billion. This surge came after two consecutive days of significant redemptions.
BlackRock and Fidelity Dominate Institutional Flows
BlackRock’s IBIT captured the largest share on Tuesday with $350.3 million in fresh inflows. Fidelity’s FBTC secured second position with $257.4 million. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT contributed $99 million, while VanEck, ARK Invest, 21Shares, and Grayscale each registered positive flows. Earlier Bitcoin ETF withdrawals had weighed on weekly performance metrics.
This turnaround followed substantial redemptions at the start of the week. Bitcoin ETF products experienced $450.4 million in outflows on September 15. Fidelity and BlackRock recorded the steepest withdrawals that day. An additional $295.9 million exited these vehicles on September 16.
Bitcoin Advances Toward $87,000 Threshold
Bitcoin gained ground as ETF demand resurged. The digital asset climbed from the mid-$85,000 zone and temporarily exceeded $87,000. Prices subsequently settled near $86,700, representing roughly a 1.25% gain over the prior 24 hours. Buying interest remained concentrated above key breakout levels.
The recovery built on momentum from a robust Monday session. Bitcoin’s move above $85,000 coincided with accelerating ETF inflows and an eight-month price peak. The advance ended multiple days of subdued fund performance and broader market weakness.
Capital Flows Signal Sharp Reversal From September Withdrawals
The current streak represents a dramatic shift from early September redemptions. Regulated investment products are once again channeling direct spot exposure as Bitcoin rallies. Daily flow patterns remain subject to rapid changes based on price action and macroeconomic conditions. This reversal has refocused attention on ETF activity.
Monday’s near-$1 billion ETF intake represented the strongest single-day total of 2026 to that date. Tuesday contributed an additional $714.7 million, with zero funds posting net outflows. The winning streak now encompasses multiple major issuers.
Ethereum spot ETFs simultaneously attracted $162 million on September 22, extending their own inflow sequence to three consecutive sessions. Bitcoin remained the primary recipient of ETF-channeled capital. Both digital asset categories continued attracting funds through regulated U.S. investment products.
