Third-Quarter Financial Performance Shows Strong Improvement
WisdomTree delivered net income of $49.2 million for the three months ended September, a substantial increase from $19.7 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. Diluted earnings per share climbed to $0.32, compared with $0.13 reported in last year’s third quarter. On an adjusted basis, net income totaled $49.5 million, with adjusted diluted earnings per share matching the reported figure at $0.32.
Operating revenue for the quarter reached $179.4 million, marking a 42.8% surge from the $125.6 million recorded in the prior-year period. Revenues also improved sequentially from $177.2 million in the preceding quarter, driven by higher average asset levels under management. Advisory fees accounted for $151.6 million of total revenue, while management fees added $5.4 million to quarterly receipts.
Operating income advanced to $74.1 million from $45.7 million year-over-year. As a result, the operating income margin widened to 41.3% from 36.3% in the same quarter last year. The adjusted operating margin reached 43.1%, representing a 480-basis-point year-over-year expansion.
Record Asset Levels Driven by Sustained Client Inflows
The company concluded September with $171 billion in total assets under management, representing a 5% quarterly gain. This increase stemmed from continuous net inflows combined with favorable market appreciation across the product lineup. Average assets under management during the quarter totaled $170.5 billion, significantly higher than the $130.8 billion average recorded in September of the previous year.
Third-quarter net inflows reached $4.6 billion across both U.S. and European distribution channels. Fixed-income products, commodity strategies and U.S. equity funds led the inflow activity during this period. Through the first nine months of the year, WisdomTree accumulated more than $13.6 billion in net inflows, translating to a 13% annualized organic growth rate.
The average advisory fee held steady at 0.36% versus the prior quarter. Revenue yield, however, edged down by one basis point to 0.42%, primarily due to reduced European transaction activity and performance-related fees. Gross margin remained essentially flat at 83%, compared with 82.9% during the second quarter.
Digital Asset Strategy Advances Through Strategic Alliances
WisdomTree extended its digital asset capabilities through multiple strategic collaborations during the reporting period. In September, the firm announced a partnership with MoonPay designed to expand U.S. investor access to tokenized investment products. This collaboration also enhances stablecoin reserve mechanisms through increased accessibility to the company’s WisdomTree Treasury Money Market Digital Fund.
The company unveiled WisdomTree Onchain, consolidating its tokenized fund offerings and related infrastructure within a unified platform. Following quarter-end in October, WisdomTree established a partnership with BitGo to deliver institutional clients access to tokenized Treasury securities. This arrangement facilitates liquidity management, yield optimization and collateral functionality through BitGo’s institutional platform.
During the quarter, the company executed several capital management initiatives. Management retired $18.1 million in principal amount of convertible notes scheduled to mature in 2029, paying $32.3 million for the transaction. The firm also bought back approximately 500,000 common shares for a total of $10.6 million at an average cost of $21.29 per share. The board of directors authorized a quarterly dividend of $0.03 per share, scheduled for payment on November 25, 2026, to shareholders of record.
These strategic moves accompanied product innovation across both domestic and international markets. The company launched two U.S.-listed funds, WSLS and WTAL, through the Texas Stock Exchange. European product development focused on expanding commodity, precious metals and structured investment alternatives. WisdomTree’s quarterly performance thus showcased enhanced profitability, unprecedented asset levels and sustained expansion across conventional and blockchain-based investment platforms.
