U.S. spot Solana ETFs captured an unprecedented $188 million in fresh capital during the past week, marking a milestone for funds tracking SOL. Bitwise dominated the flows while every available product attracted investor dollars. Net inflows represent fresh capital entering funds minus any redemptions. This metric differs from trading volume, which reflects secondary market transactions. The data reveals direct investor appetite for Solana exposure through regulated fund vehicles.
Historic Week for Solana Exchange-Traded Products
BSOL collected approximately $128 million across the five trading days ending Sept. 25, accounting for nearly two-thirds of aggregate flows. Grayscale’s GSOL secured $28 million in new capital, with Fidelity’s FSOL capturing $18 million. The remaining $14 million distributed among Morgan Stanley, VanEck, Franklin Templeton and 21Shares products. Friday emerged as the peak session, bringing approximately $87 million into Solana funds, with Bitwise alone receiving $56 million.
Bitwise maintains its dominant position in Solana ETF market share. BSOL has accumulated roughly $1.2 billion of the category’s $1.6 billion in cumulative net inflows since launch, per the latest SOL trading update. The fund’s 68% weekly share trailed its historical 76% average. This variance indicates growing distribution of investor interest, with competing funds collectively drawing around $60 million during the same timeframe.
Cryptocurrency ETF Market Shows Strength Across Assets
Solana’s record performance occurred alongside robust activity in broader digital asset funds. Spot bitcoin ETFs attracted approximately $2.4 billion, while ethereum products gathered roughly $690 million, according to daily flow tracking. This widespread momentum aligns with recent market analysis highlighting record Bitcoin ETF demand. These investment vehicles provide traditional brokerage access to cryptocurrency exposure, eliminating the need for direct digital wallet management or private key security.
SOL changed hands near $119 during Monday’s Asian trading session, remaining approximately 60% beneath its all-time peak near $293. The price action coincided with developer progress on Alpenglow within Solana’s public testnet environment. Alpenglow targets reduction of transaction finality from roughly 12.8 seconds down to approximately 150 milliseconds. Engineers advanced the upgrade to the network’s secondary public testing phase on Friday, per the Alpenglow test update. The feature continues undergoing evaluation, with no confirmed mainnet deployment timeline announced by Solana.
