Best Buy Ads Expands Connected Television Presence
Marketers will gain the ability to purchase video and display advertising placements across both new and current Insignia television models running Fire TV. Amazon’s programmatic platform will deliver AI-driven campaign optimization capabilities alongside robust performance analytics.
This collaboration provides Best Buy with an additional channel for expanding its advertising division beyond traditional in-store and digital properties. The retailer has been aggressively developing Best Buy Ads as a cornerstone of its evolving media network strategy.
Amazon, for its part, secures an expanded distribution channel for its Fire TV advertising ecosystem and strengthens its ability to connect brands with streaming audiences.
Lisa Valentino, Best Buy’s Chief Ads and Media Officer, emphasized that this partnership opens fresh avenues for advertisers to engage audiences while maintaining the Fire TV interface within Insignia products.
Fire TV Continues as Insignia’s Exclusive Platform
The Fire TV operating system will maintain its position as the sole software platform across Best Buy’s Insignia television range. The current product portfolio spans from compact 24-inch screens to expansive 85-inch displays, with Alexa voice integration standard across the majority of units.
Best Buy will continue as the singular retail destination for Insignia televisions both in physical locations and on Amazon.com, where Best Buy operates as the seller.
The partnership between these retail powerhouses originated in 2018, when they jointly unveiled Fire TV Edition models under the Insignia and Toshiba brands.
Since that initial collaboration, the companies have launched over 100 television models together, establishing Fire TV as a fundamental element of Best Buy’s private-label television approach.
For Best Buy, this expanded agreement unlocks a new revenue stream through advertising while preserving its established hardware partnership with Amazon. For Amazon, the deal injects additional connected TV inventory into an advertising operation that continues to diversify beyond its core e-commerce platform.
With implementation scheduled for February 2027, the financial impact will ultimately hinge on advertiser interest and Best Buy Ads’ success in driving demand for the newly available Fire TV inventory.
