Key Takeaways
- SOL surpassed the $110 threshold, breaking through a resistance level that restricted price action for multiple weeks.
- Chart analysis identifies $133 as the next significant resistance zone if bullish momentum persists.
- Crypto analyst Ash Crypto noted that SOL has recovered its weekly 200-day moving average and hit $120, marking an eight-month peak.
- Immediate support zones are positioned around $111.06 and $107.40, with a breach below $107.40 potentially undermining the bullish structure.
- The Alpenglow network upgrade has progressed to public testnet phase, aiming to reduce transaction finality to approximately 150 milliseconds.
Solana has broken through the $110 barrier following weeks of consolidation beneath this resistance point, reinforcing its near-term bullish framework. During this upward movement, SOL touched $120, representing its strongest price point in approximately eight months.
Chart analysis currently identifies $133 as the subsequent major resistance threshold. Achieving this target partially hinges on Bitcoin maintaining its recovery trajectory while SOL defends its newly established support zones.
Additionally, Solana has demonstrated relative strength against Bitcoin in recent trading sessions. According to the analysis provided, the SOL/BTC pairing still has space to climb before encountering its next resistance zone.
Technical Outlook Points Toward $133 Following Breakout
The closest near-term support level resides around $111.06, with $107.40 serving as the broader critical zone under observation. Maintaining prices above $107.40 would preserve the existing short-term bullish configuration.
A decline beneath this threshold would signal the initial warning that the recent rally has potentially established a local peak. Market participants are also monitoring for SOL to form a higher low before confirming this movement as a legitimate broader trend reversal.
Cryptocurrency analyst Ash Crypto stated on X that SOL currently displays one of the more robust technical patterns among alternative cryptocurrencies. He emphasized SOL’s recapture of its weekly MA200, the achievement of $120 for the first time in eight months, and the formation of a weekly golden cross pattern.

According to Ash Crypto, these technical indicators could suggest that Solana has already established its market cycle bottom. His analysis concentrated on weekly timeframe structures rather than projecting specific short-term price objectives.
The $133 zone continues to represent the primary upside target in near-term technical assessments. A sustained advance toward this area would extend the recovery that initiated after SOL surpassed $110.
Alpenglow Network Enhancement Enters Public Testing Stage
Solana developers are currently evaluating a network enhancement named Alpenglow, engineered to reduce transaction finality from approximately 12.8 seconds down to roughly 150 milliseconds. Finality represents the stage at which a blockchain transaction becomes permanently irreversible.

Alpenglow substitutes Solana’s current TowerBFT consensus mechanism with an alternative voting protocol designated Votor. This system enables validators to finalize blocks following just one or two voting cycles instead of proceeding through an extended series of onchain voting rounds.
The enhancement has already completed over four months of operation on a smaller, dedicated test environment. It is now transitioning to Solana’s established public testnet infrastructure for more comprehensive evaluation.
Validators participating in this testing phase require Agave 4.3, the primary client software utilized for operating Solana nodes. Anza issued recommendations for all mainnet validators to adopt this version on September 21.
Firedancer and Frankendancer clients do not currently provide support for Alpenglow testing. Consequently, the initial testnet implementation will depend exclusively on Agave infrastructure.
Anza’s published timeline indicates September 28 as a provisional target for activating Agave 4.3 capabilities on the mainnet. This date does not represent a confirmed Alpenglow mainnet deployment, as the upgrade continues undergoing testing procedures.
