- DOGE surged 14% and is maintaining support near $0.10 following a decisive break above the 200-day EMA
- Dogecoin ETFs attracted $909,650 in fresh capital on Monday, significantly higher than the prior week’s $284,510

- Short traders faced $5.66M in liquidations, representing the most severe squeeze since late August
Dogecoin has posted an impressive 14% gain over the last 48 hours, successfully reclaiming the psychologically important $0.10 level. This performance places the meme coin at the top of the gainers list among the 20 largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.

This upward momentum was catalyzed by widespread short position liquidations throughout the cryptocurrency ecosystem. On September 21 alone, Dogecoin witnessed $5.66 million worth of short liquidations, representing the most significant squeeze event for DOGE since August 22.
Large holder activity has intensified considerably. According to CoinGlass analytics, four substantial wallet addresses established long positions amounting to 78.2 million DOGE, valued at approximately $5.59 million. Each of these four positions is currently showing positive returns. In contrast, the sole short position initiated during this timeframe is experiencing an unrealized deficit of $119,000.
Market analyst Trader Tardigrade (@TATrader_Alan) observed on a 3-day timeframe that his limit sell order executed at near-term resistance levels. He indicated that the price action has transitioned into bullish territory and revealed plans to focus exclusively on buy orders over the coming weeks, anticipating DOGE to consolidate near resistance zones before the next upward leg.
ETF Inflows and Open Interest Rise
Institutional participation is showing signs of acceleration. Exchange-traded funds focused on Dogecoin registered $909,650 in net inflows on Monday, representing a substantial increase from the $284,510 recorded on September 15. Growing ETF demand typically correlates with heightened retail participation, creating additional upward pressure on price action.
Open interest in Dogecoin futures contracts surged to $1.57 billion, representing the highest measurement since August 22. Binance specifically experienced open interest growth to $345 million, a threshold not witnessed since May 2026. The long-to-short ratio on major platforms Binance and OKX currently stands at 2.30 and 2.65 respectively, indicating that bullish positions significantly outnumber bearish ones across both venues.
DOGE has successfully penetrated above the 200-day EMA at $0.092 and is now positioned above both the 50-day and 100-day EMAs, which are consolidated around $0.083. The MACD indicator has generated a bullish crossover above its signal line, while the histogram displays expanding positive momentum.
Key Levels to Watch
The RSI currently registers at 72, indicating overbought conditions. For continued upside momentum, DOGE must overcome the resistance zone spanning $0.100 to $0.10219, which would establish a trajectory toward $0.116ā$0.117.

A double-bottom formation visible on the daily timeframe suggests a technical price objective of $0.102 assuming current support levels remain intact.
The $345 million in open interest for DOGE on Binance represents the platform’s highest recorded level since May 2026.
