Investment bank UBS believes Wall Street is overlooking significant value. The firm’s HOLT analytical framework projects Nvidia will achieve an 86% cash flow return on investmentāa metric currently reached by only 30 corporations worldwide.
UBS analyst Helen Booth pointed out that today’s market pricing suggests Nvidia’s profit margins will shrink by approximately 800 basis points while revenue expansion decelerates to around 3% per year by the 2029-30 timeframe. She contends this scenario appears overly conservative when measured against actual performance indicators.
The company unveiled its quarterly results on August 26. Management reported earnings of $2.22 per share, topping the Street’s $2.09 estimate. Total revenue reached $96.22 billion, exceeding the anticipated $92.27 billion figure and representing a 105.9% jump from the prior-year period.
Nvidia boasts a net profit margin of 63.66% alongside a return on equity of 96.04%. Wall Street forecasts annual earnings per share of $9.12.
Heavy Insider Selling Creates Questions
Bullish analyst sentiment hasn’t stopped company insiders from trimming positions. During the past three months, corporate insiders liquidated 1.7 million shares totaling approximately $385 million.
Board member Mark Stevens divested 622,239 shares on September 4 at a mean price of $231.62, generating proceeds near $144 million. This transaction decreased his holdings by 21%. Executive Vice President Timothy Teter offloaded 30,000 shares on August 31 at $217.88 per share, worth $6.5 million. Teter’s transaction occurred through a predetermined Rule 10b5-1 trading arrangement.
Institutional stakeholders control 65.27% of outstanding shares. Mizuho Markets Americas reduced its position by 13.9% during Q2, disposing of 39,641 shares while maintaining holdings valued at approximately $48.9 million.
Customer Demand Persists as Rivals Emerge
From a demand perspective, CoreWeave activated a multi-rack Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 cluster, supporting projections for sustained GPU purchases extending beyond Blackwell architecture deployments. Cloud infrastructure provider Nebius Group revealed plans to increase rental rates across its entire portfolio of Nvidia processors, including legacy generation chips.
CEO Jensen Huang characterized the artificial intelligence investment “flywheel” as gaining momentum. Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg echoed this perspective, alleviating concerns about potential development slowdowns linked to safety-focused regulations.
Competitive pressure is intensifying. China-based Huawei announced Thursday its intention to launch new AI processors within the coming two years, pursuing opportunities created by Nvidia’s export limitations. OpenAI’s chief financial officer noted the organization now possesses greater supplier diversification compared to previous periods.
Nvidia operates under an $80 billion stock repurchase authorization approved by directors. The corporation distributes a quarterly dividend of $0.25 per share, with the upcoming payment scheduled for October 1. Trading metrics show a 50-day moving average of $214.10 and a 200-day moving average of $203.86.
