Reality television personality Katie Price has reportedly terminated her eight-month marriage to Lee Andrews following revelations that a cryptocurrency wallet he claimed held $50 million actually contained a mere £2.22.
Sources close to Price told The Sun that Andrews had assured her he possessed approximately $50 million—equivalent to roughly £37 million—secured in a digital cryptocurrency wallet. He subsequently provided her with the recovery credentials needed to access these supposed funds.
When a financial specialist examined the wallet on August 31 at Price’s request, they discovered the account held approximately $3, equal to £2.22 in British currency.
Marriage Dissolution
Following this discovery, Price is said to have sent Andrews a WhatsApp message terminating their relationship. According to The Mirror, her message stated: “I have been played and you are not who you say you are. Why have you lied to me?”
An insider informed The Sun that Price has “come to my senses” and now views the marriage as over. She has already reached out to a divorce solicitor based in London to begin formal proceedings.
Andrews continues to be incarcerated at Al Awir prison in Dubai. His detention began in July, following an initial arrest in May. He has consistently refuted all allegations of fraudulent activity and financial misconduct.
The pair’s relationship began in January 2026. They obtained matching tattoos within their first few days together and wed in Dubai merely 48 hours following their engagement. This initial wedding ceremony lacked legal recognition.
The couple officially registered their union with Abu Dhabi’s Judicial Department on February 17. A formal divorce process will be necessary to legally dissolve this registered marriage.
Lee Andrews’ Claims
Andrews, originally from Nottinghamshire, presented himself as a multi-millionaire business executive who had resided in Dubai for more than 21 years. Photographs appearing on his social media profiles depicting him alongside celebrities like Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian have been identified as likely AI-generated images, according to various reports.
He identified himself as the Chief Executive Officer of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and maintained he was an investor in SpaceX Hybrid Fitness. These professional claims remain unverified by independent sources.
Andrews’ first arrest occurred in May 2026 after he disappeared for a two-week period. His initial explanation suggested detention for espionage-related matters, though he later revised this to describe it as a private civil dispute concerning outstanding debts.
Following his June release, he was arrested once more in July. He presently faces three separate civil legal cases within Dubai’s judicial system.
According to The Sun’s investigation, the maximum sum that moved through the cryptocurrency wallet on any given day was $14,490 in March, with those funds departing the account that same day. Neither blockchain transaction records nor the specific wallet address have been made public to corroborate these amounts.
Price was photographed at Manchester Pride in late August noticeably not wearing her wedding band. She had previously made clear she would not cover Andrews’ bail costs or assume responsibility for his financial obligations during his detention.
