The native token of Hyperliquid, HYPE, is currently valued at approximately $83, reflecting a 1.29% increase following the simultaneous arrival of two significant developments. Investment firm Hashdex incorporated HYPE into its diversified spot cryptocurrency ETF, while Hyperliquid Strategies boosted its equity financing capability to $2.5 billion.

The adjustment to Hashdex’s Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF, trading under the symbol NCIQ, became effective on September 1, 2026. The investment vehicle now encompasses nine digital assets, representing an increase from its previous composition of eight.
Hyperliquid joins the index with an allocation of 3.36%. Bitcoin continues to dominate the portfolio with a 74.36% allocation, with Ethereum claiming 11.88%, XRP holding 5.21%, and Solana representing 3.79%.
The current index composition consists of Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, Hyperliquid, Stellar, Cardano, Chainlink, and Bitcoin Cash.
NCIQ was introduced by Hashdex in February 2025 with an initial portfolio limited to Bitcoin and Ethereum. The fund operates on a systematic methodology that evaluates factors including market liquidity, capitalization, custodial infrastructure, and compliance with regulatory listing requirements.
According to Hashdex CIO Samir Kerbage, the fund’s expansion was part of the original strategy. “The entire concept when we introduced NCIQ in February 2025 with two assets was that the portfolio would continue to grow,” Kerbage explained.
Kerbage further highlighted that Hyperliquid’s decentralized exchange infrastructure and recent regulatory progress have elevated the ecosystem’s significance within traditional financial markets.
Hyperliquid Strategies Increases Equity Financing Arrangement
Coinciding with the ETF announcement, Hyperliquid Strategies submitted documentation to the SEC expanding its equity financing partnership with Chardan Capital Markets from $1 billion to $2.5 billion. This increased facility represents available capacity rather than confirmed capital raised.
The actual funds received will vary based on share distribution and market pricing. The organization has previously indicated that capital raised could be allocated toward standard corporate operations, potentially including HYPE token acquisitions, although no specific allocation requirements have been established.
As of August 19, Hyperliquid Strategies maintained a position of 29.3 million HYPE tokens. Starting in December 2025, the firm deployed $773.4 million to accumulate approximately 16.5 million tokens at a mean cost of $46.77.
The company’s Nasdaq-traded equity, PURR, finished at $11.36 on September 1, representing a 7.3% decline for the session. This valuation falls beneath the $12.02 benchmark associated with share issuance limitations outlined in the revised financing agreement.
