- Bitwise dominated flows with $13.12 million, while Franklin Templeton and Canary Capital contributed significantly
- Major investors scooped up approximately 460 million XRP tokens, representing the strongest accumulation since February

- Critical support established between $1.35 and $1.40, with market watchers eyeing $1.48–$1.52 as next resistance
XRP staged a solid recovery beyond the $1.40 threshold following a period of robust institutional participation and heightened ETF interest. The digital asset gained approximately 20% across a seven-day period before experiencing a correction from its $1.70 peak.

According to SoSoValue tracking data, US-based spot XRP exchange-traded funds captured $28.14 million in net inflows on August 26. This represented the second-strongest daily performance for 2026, trailing only the January 5 session which saw $46.1 million enter these investment vehicles.
Bitwise’s XRP ETF dominated the session with $13.12 million in contributions, representing 46% of the day’s aggregate flows. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ product contributed $9 million to the total, while Canary Capital’s XRPC fund attracted $6.01 million. Both 21Shares and Grayscale registered zero flow activity during this period.

The XRP ETF ecosystem has maintained an unbroken streak of seven consecutive trading days with net positive flows, accumulating $106 million throughout this period. This sustained momentum signals growing appetite from institutional capital sources capitalizing on recent price weakness.
Major Holders Increase Positions During Correction
Large wallet addresses acquired approximately 460 million XRP tokens throughout the recent price decline, marking the most significant accumulation activity from whales since February. This behavior demonstrates conviction among sophisticated market participants despite the retreat from recent price peaks.
Last week, XRP successfully breached its 200-day exponential moving average for the first time since October 2025. This technical development catalyzed a short squeeze scenario that propelled prices toward $1.70 before encountering selling pressure.
The cryptocurrency subsequently retraced and tested the 200-day EMA from the upside, where demand materialized. Market participants are now monitoring the $1.35–$1.40 range as a critical support structure.
Market analyst Jules (@JulesNetX) characterized the advance from $1.00 to $1.70 as a liquidity grab at the upper boundary. According to his assessment, the pullback settled into the $1.36–$1.40 demand region, and maintaining this foundation could reactivate the $1.48–$1.52 range on convincing 4-hour candle closes. He cautioned that failure to defend this zone might trigger a more substantial retracement.
Broader Market Context and Investor Psychology
The wider cryptocurrency ecosystem received support from macroeconomic catalysts. The United States Treasury disclosed plans to expand bond repurchase operations, which moderated expectations for aggressive interest rate increases before the September Federal Reserve policy meeting.
The Crypto Fear and Greed Index climbed into “Extreme Greed” territory at 80, a threshold last reached in December 2024. During that previous period, XRP was changing hands around $3.40 following the post-election surge.

As of August 27, XRP traded at $1.4634. The Relative Strength Index registered 56.48, positioned above neutral territory without entering overbought conditions. The Chaikin Money Flow indicator recorded 0.04, marginally above the neutral threshold.
Immediate resistance exists at $1.50. A decisive move beyond this barrier would bring $1.60 into focus, representing approximately 9.3% upside from present levels. One technical analyst has established a price objective of $1.80 with protective stop placement beneath the 200-day exponential moving average.
