Throughout Q2, the organization documented $190.4 million in unrealized depreciation spanning Bitcoin assets, pledged digital currencies, and various securities holdings. When examining the entire first half of 2026, cryptocurrency-associated losses totaled $360.6 million.
Bitcoin Portfolio Status at Quarter Close
Trump Media’s Bitcoin position as of June 30 consisted of 9,477.16 Bitcoin, representing a modest decline from the 9,542.16 BTC reported at Q1’s conclusion. These holdings carried a fair market value of $557.1 million, substantially below the $836 million valuation recorded at 2025 year-end.

A considerable fraction of these Bitcoin assets were encumbered. Specifically, 4,260.73 BTC had been committed as security for convertible debt instruments, while an additional 2,077.34 BTC supported the company’s Bitcoin options trading activities.
Additionally, Trump Media maintained approximately 756.1 million Cronos tokens, with quantities remaining stable but valuations declining significantly. Fair market assessment dropped from $68 million at 2025’s close to merely $40.6 million by June 30.
Termination of Crypto.com Transaction
Shortly before releasing Q2 financial results, Trump Media, Crypto.com, and Yorkville Acquisition collectively terminated their anticipated business combination agreement. The arrangement had been designed to establish a publicly listed entity focused on accumulating a substantial Cronos token reserve.
All parties attributed the cancellation to evolving market dynamics and reprioritized strategic objectives. An ancillary agreement under which Crypto.com would have provided services for prospective Yorkville exchange-traded products was similarly abandoned.
Trump Media announced intentions to restructure its digital asset treasury methodology. The revised framework aims to maintain sustained cryptocurrency exposure while actively mitigating volatility impacts and optimizing balance sheet efficiency.
The organization currently employs Bitcoin options contracts to hedge against price fluctuations and produce premium revenue. Additionally, certain Bitcoin holdings have been deployed through lending programs and yield-generation mechanisms.
Trump Media acknowledged inherent risks within its lending framework. Certain counterparties lack ratings from prominent credit evaluation agencies and could potentially default during market stress periods. For unsecured arrangements, the company noted potential inability to reclaim assets should counterparties face insolvency.
The company further indicated plans to allocate increased resources toward Truth Social, Truth+, and expanding its comprehensive media operations.
July Portfolio Expansion
Following a relatively stagnant Q2, Trump Media executed rapid transactions throughout July. The organization liquidated Bitcoin-linked securities totaling $159.6 million, subsequently deploying proceeds toward direct Bitcoin acquisitions.
As of July 31, Trump Media disclosed holding approximately 14,139 BTC, encompassing pledged Bitcoin positions, with aggregate valuation reaching approximately $890.5 million at that timestamp.
Trump Media maintains majority control through a trust structure whereby U.S. President Donald Trump serves as exclusive beneficiary, commanding approximately 41.1% of voting authority as documented in February 2025.
