Presidential policy adviser Kim Yong-beom briefed the press that these arrangements will encompass extended memory chip supply contracts with international technology partners. According to Kim, the announcements will feature “very large and meaningful figures.”
Officials are positioning this visit as a strategic effort to bolster technological and economic cooperation between the two nations.

During his California visit, President Lee has arranged meetings with Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang and Sam Altman, who leads OpenAI. The president will also participate in an artificial intelligence summit featuring prominent South Korean business executives.
The South Korean delegation includes Samsung Electronics Chairman Jay Y. Lee, SK Group’s Chairman Chey Tae-won, and Hyundai Motor’s Executive Chair Euisun Chung. From the American side, attendees include Broadcom CEO Hock Tan, Anthropic’s Dario Amodei, and Naver Corporation’s Lee Hae-jin.
