Shares of Nvidia advanced about 2% on Tuesday after the chip giant revealed Spectrum-6, its latest-generation Ethernet networking platform engineered for gigawatt-scale artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Spectrum-6 represents a 102.4-terabit-per-second Ethernet switching architecture. This performance level doubles what the preceding generation offered and forms a critical component of the Vera Rubin platform ā Nvidia’s interconnected multi-rack AI supercomputer framework optimized for agentic artificial intelligence applications.
Several industry-leading organizations will deploy the technology first. CoreWeave, Microsoft, Nebius, SpaceXAI, and Tesla have been confirmed as initial customers. Additionally, CoreWeave, Microsoft, and Nebius will be pioneering the deployment of Vera Rubin-powered systems incorporating Spectrum-6 technology.
