WeTrip delivers exceptional Q2 transaction performance
Webuy established a memorandum of understanding with Shanghai Moyu Travel Service, the organization behind the MeetPanda platform. This strategic collaboration emphasizes creating innovative tourism products for global travelers visiting China. The arrangement merges WeTrip’s international presence with MeetPanda’s extensive domestic travel infrastructure.
WeTrip generated approximately $907,000 in aggregate transaction volume throughout Q2 2026. This performance represented a more than nine-fold increase compared to the corresponding 2025 period. June alone produced roughly $419,000 in transactions, marking an over tenfold year-on-year surge.
Management indicated the partnership advances broader objectives within China’s incoming tourism sector. Additionally, both organizations intend to craft authentically local travel experiences tailored for international guests. While the memorandum provides a cooperation structure, it establishes no legally binding commercial commitments.
Alliance extends travel portfolio across China’s leading tourist hubs
The proposed collaboration encompasses heritage tours, urban walking experiences, gastronomic activities, photography expeditions, and wellness retreats. It further incorporates business site visits, innovation tours, and bespoke travel arrangements. As such, the partners aim to diversify travel options available through WeTrip’s digital ecosystem.
Preliminary initiatives focus on Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi’an, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Xiamen and Huangshan. These locations constitute significant tourism hubs throughout China. The alliance seeks to deliver enhanced geographic reach for overseas visitors.
MeetPanda contributes an established nationwide infrastructure to this partnership. Based on data from Moyu, the organization accumulated gross merchandise value surpassing RMB1 billion. It organized over 400,000 group excursions and secured four investment rounds totaling nearly RMB200 million.
Artificial intelligence capabilities drive Webuy’s tourism expansion roadmap
MeetPanda reports that its infrastructure extends to over 60% of Chinese municipalities. The service operates through more than 3,000 qualified bilingual Panda Captains nationwide. Consequently, Webuy anticipates enhanced regional service delivery through this alliance.
Beyond partnership development, Webuy actively advances artificial intelligence agents throughout product innovation and operational workflows. These platforms evaluate consumer patterns and detect evolving travel trends. They additionally facilitate product design and market introduction across the company’s tourism operations.
The organization aims to fortify WeTrip’s competitive standing by extending travel alliances and technological infrastructure. The memorandum maintains non-binding status pending execution of supplementary agreements for individual initiatives. Accordingly, subsequent commercial endeavors will require separately negotiated arrangements between Webuy and Moyu.
