Unified account structure expands supported collateral types
Bitget has broadened the functionality of tokenized equity products by introducing collateral support for Apple, Tesla, Nvidia, and additional major assets. Traders on the platform can now utilize specific tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds as margin for USDT-margined futures contracts. This development enhances the exchange’s integrated account framework and creates a bridge between cryptocurrency markets and conventional equity exposure.
Platform Introduces Stock Tokens as Margin Instruments
The cryptocurrency exchange implemented this functionality on June 4 through its Unified Trading Account infrastructure. Approved assets encompass rAAPL, rTSLA, rNVDA, rAMZN, rMETA, rGOOGL, rMSFT, and rINTC. The expansion also covers rMU, rASML, rAVGO, rTSM, rQQQ, rSPY, and rSNDK.
This enhancement permits market participants to pledge these equity-linked digital tokens as backing for USDT-M futures contracts. As a result, traders maintain their positions in equity-correlated instruments while simultaneously operating futures accounts. The innovation diminishes the requirement to liquidate assets into a single settlement currency.
According to Bitget Chief Executive Officer Gracy Chen, market participants have expressed strong interest in expanding the utility of tokenized instruments across various trading products. Chen noted that incorporating margin functionality delivers enhanced flexibility within the platform’s unified account framework. She emphasized that this advancement strengthens connectivity between cryptocurrency and traditional financial market products.
Integrated Account Framework Optimizes Capital Deployment
The exchange’s Unified Trading Account consolidates spot holdings, derivatives positions, and margin obligations within a single operational framework. This architecture enables users to operate across multiple product categories without transferring capital between isolated account compartments. The platform employs this design to maximize capital efficiency across diverse asset categories.
Through Multi-Asset Mode functionality, qualified holdings can fulfill margin obligations for USDT-margined futures products. As such, tokenized stocks and ETFs now serve purposes extending beyond simple spot market participation. This framework provides traders with enhanced flexibility in capital allocation strategies across different markets.
The development also addresses growing market interest in platforms that merge digital currencies with conventional financial products. Tokenized equities are experiencing increased adoption as exchanges implement additional trading capabilities. The platform presents this capability as a component of its comprehensive account optimization initiative.
Exchange Expands Tokenized Product Infrastructure
The cryptocurrency platform has significantly expanded its tokenized market portfolio through multiple product launches over recent months. During May, the exchange unveiled Reality, a compliance-focused tokenization infrastructure for rToken products. These digital instruments maintain one-to-one tracking relationships with publicly listed U.S. equities and ETFs.
According to the company, Reality establishes connections between tokenized instruments and authorized broker-dealers plus U.S. market systems. The platform was specifically engineered to manage liquidity provisioning, reserve management, dividend distributions, and corporate event processing. Multiple assets currently eligible for margin functionality originate from this product ecosystem.
Bitget Wallet similarly incorporated xStocks technology during May to broaden self-custody access to tokenized assets. Through this integration, the wallet added support for over 130 tokenized stocks and ETFs. Currently, the exchange’s ecosystem provides access to more than 100 tokenized stocks, ETFs, commodities, foreign exchange instruments, and precious metals.
