Ondo Finance has rolled out proxy voting capabilities for investors holding its tokenized equities. The platform achieved this through a strategic partnership with Broadridge Financial Solutions and access to the ProxyVote infrastructure. Token holders can now examine corporate documents and communicate their voting preferences through cryptocurrency wallets.
Blockchain Investors Gain Access to Corporate Governance Tools
Ondo Finance developed this functionality alongside Broadridge Financial Solutions to bridge blockchain investment platforms with traditional corporate governance frameworks. The partnership grants holders of over 250 tokenized securities the ability to review materials and participate in voting processes. Investors authenticate using their crypto wallets before accessing Broadridge’s ProxyVote interface.
The system provides entry to corporate documentation and decision-making tools traditionally reserved for conventional brokerage account holders. Ondo Finance retains ownership of the actual securities that back the digital tokens. The company gathers investor voting instructions and executes those preferences when submitting official votes for the underlying shares.
Matthieu de Vergnes, global head of institutional at Ondo Finance, explained the strategic direction. He stated, “It really hits at the heart of Ondo’s vision to make traditional financial assets more accessible.” He continued, “You get all the benefits of being onchain and the governance from the underlying.”
Digital Securities Market Expands with Ondo Finance at Forefront
The tokenized equity sector has experienced significant growth as financial institutions transfer stocks and ETFs onto distributed ledger systems. Data compiled by RWA.xyz indicates the sector currently holds approximately $1.1 billion in total value. This figure represents a threefold increase compared to twelve months earlier.
Ondo Finance manages a portfolio exceeding $700 million in equity and ETF tokens through its Global Markets division. The platform makes these investment products available to individuals and institutions located outside the United States. The company maintains its position as the dominant provider in this market segment.
Historically, numerous tokenized equity offerings excluded governance participation for token holders. Ondo Finance engineered this solution specifically to close that functionality gap. The framework allows investors to convey voting preferences while maintaining the indirect ownership structure.
Danielle Gurrieri, senior vice president and head of product management at Broadridge, explained the partnership goals. She indicated the company seeks to accommodate both digital and traditional asset classes using unified operational processes. She emphasized that features including auditability, transparency, and regulatory compliance will facilitate expansion of tokenized investment markets.
Broadridge handles substantial proxy voting volume across conventional financial sectors. The organization has now extended its technical infrastructure to support blockchain-integrated platforms. This collaboration enables Ondo Finance to link onchain token systems with proven governance frameworks.
Ondo Finance emphasized that its token structure maintains separation from the actual equity holdings. The digital tokens do not convey direct shareholder privileges. The platform now provides investors with an official mechanism to relay voting preferences.
The proxy voting capability covers the entire catalog of over 250 tokenized securities. Investors can examine regulatory filings, evaluate shareholder proposals, and register their preferences directly within their wallet interfaces. Ondo Finance implements those directions when submitting votes for the securities held in custody.
