Justin Sun backs Kyrgyzstan’s Web3 and AI strategy
TRON DAO said Sun shared the proposals on April 20, 2026. The company said the ideas support President Japarov’s plan for digital growth. The focus is on virtual assets, AI, and Web3 services.
The plan includes support for KGST, Kyrgyzstan’s national stablecoin. TRON said the token could expand within its blockchain ecosystem. The network would offer faster and lower cost cross-border transfers.
TRON said the KGST rollout could improve access and utility for users. The proposal also links the stablecoin to wider fintech goals. These include digital banking services and the possible development of a crypto exchange.
Sun said, “President Japarov’s forward-thinking leadership creates a unique opportunity for Kyrgyzstan to lead in the digital age.” He added, “We are committed to delivering concrete projects that will accelerate the country’s digital transformation and deliver real value to its people and economy.”
Proposal covers AI model sandbox and data center plans
The plan also includes AI projects tied to local language support. One part is the joint development of a sovereign large language model for the Kyrgyz language. This would aim to support local use and digital access.
Another part would connect KGST payments to the B.AI ecosystem. The proposal also includes an AI and crypto sandbox. Such a framework could support testing for new digital services under controlled conditions.
TRON also proposed data centers powered by Kyrgyzstan’s hydropower resources. The company said the country’s renewable energy base could support this work. It also pointed to educated young people and digital policy support.
The press release said these steps could help attract foreign investment. It also said they could support new business activity in blockchain, AI, and fintech. The statement linked the plan to Kyrgyzstan’s renewable power and labor base.
Kyrgyzstan seeks stronger role in regional digital finance
The announcement said Kyrgyzstan is building a market for virtual assets and Web3 technologies. It said the country is improving regulation and digital infrastructure. It also said the number of licensed participants is growing.
TRON said public use of digital assets is already strong in Kyrgyzstan. The press release referred to Chainalysis data on adoption. It also noted training and education efforts with international partners.
The company framed the proposal as part of Kyrgyzstan’s broader digital policy path. It said the country wants to become a leading regional hub in Central Asia. It also said the government remains open to work with global firms.
TRON was founded in 2017, and its mainnet launched in 2018. The company said its blockchain had more than 376 million user accounts by April 2026. It also reported more than 13 billion transactions and over $27 billion in total value locked.
