Pi Network has issued a public warning to its global user base, addressing rising cases of phishing scams and fake decentralized exchange (DEX) links. This alert was shared via its official communication platforms and community leaders to ensure widespread awareness.

The network urged its users, also known as Pioneers, to be cautious when managing their wallets. Pi Network reminded users that their wallets are non-custodial, meaning only they control access. If the wallet passphrase is stolen or lost, the coins in the wallet cannot be recovered.
Fake Links and Phishing Scams Targeting Users
According to the warning, scammers are using fake DEX links that falsely promise high values for Pi, such as “1 Pi = $314”. These fraudulent links are often shared through social media, Telegram channels, and fake Pi-related websites.
The Pi team clarified that it has never announced such exchange rates and has not yet launched any official external trading. These scams are designed to trick users into sharing their wallet passphrases or logging in on fake websites.
Pi Network emphasized, “We will never ask for your password or passphrase. Never enter it on unverified platforms.”
Wallet Safety and Best Practices
Users are advised to access their Pi wallets only through the official Pi Browser using this link: http://wallet.PiNet.com. Entering wallet details on other websites, apps, or browser extensions poses high risks of theft.
The warning also highlighted that scammers often impersonate Pi staff or the Pi Care Team to appear legitimate. They may send direct messages or emails urging users to verify their accounts or claim rewards. These are all fraudulent schemes meant to gain access to wallet information.
The Pi Network team recommended bookmarking the official wallet page and not clicking on links received from unknown sources, even if they appear professional.
Project Status and User Responsibility
Pi Network clarified that the project is still in its testing and decentralization phase. The system is not yet fully open-source, and official trading features are still under development. This transitional stage is often targeted by scammers, making it crucial for users to stay alert.
The network stated that full decentralization will only happen after internal testing is completed. Until then, Pioneers must take full responsibility for securing their wallets and avoiding risky behavior.
Blockchain-based systems like Pi Network do not allow reversal of transactions. Therefore, once coins are lost due to a scam, they cannot be retrieved.
2025 Review Feature Rolled Out
Alongside the safety warning, Pi Network launched a new in-app feature called the “2025 Review”. This tool allows users to review their mining history, key achievements, and overall progress made during the past year.
The feature can be accessed via a button next to the chat icon within the Pi Network app. It is designed to help users reflect on their journey and better understand their current position in the network.
This announcement ends with a clear message: never share your wallet passphrase, always use official links, and stay cautious during the current development phase of Pi Network.
