Initiative strengthens Ondo’s presence in U.S. tokenized securities market.
Ondo has introduced digital token versions of BlackRock’s iShares Core S&P 500 ETF and Micron Technology shares for U.S. investors. This rollout adheres to a custodial framework outlined by the SEC in January 2026. The initiative represents a significant step toward integrating tokenized American securities within existing regulatory structures.
Tokenized S&P 500 ETF enters regulated U.S. market
Ondo has released an Ethereum-based tokenized representation of BlackRock’s iShares Core S&P 500 ETF. This offering mirrors IVV, a major exchange-traded fund representing the S&P 500 index. The actual ETF shares continue to reside within traditional American custody infrastructure.
Oasis Pro TA, functioning as Ondo’s SEC-registered transfer agent arm, creates the corresponding digital tokens. Every token maintains complete 1:1 correspondence with actual ETF shares. Licensed custodians secure the tokens themselves, while established custodians safeguard the underlying securities.
This architecture aligns with the SEC’s January 2026 guidance regarding tokenized securities. That guidance outlined an approach where third-party entities hold securities and create associated digital assets. Ondo utilized this blueprint to deploy an operational U.S.-based tokenized ETF offering.
Micron stock joins tokenized equity portfolio
Ondo has simultaneously introduced a tokenized representation of Micron Technology stock using identical structural principles. The actual Micron shares remain within standard U.S. custody channels. The associated tokens provide holders with market exposure via Ethereum-based ledger entries.
The Micron offering advances Ondo’s initiative into tokenized equities with full regulatory compliance. This approach eliminates offshore issuance requirements and doesn’t require individual issuer sponsorship arrangements. Instead, it functions through existing broker-dealer networks, transfer agent services, and custody frameworks.
Transfer protocols operate via participating broker-dealers, custodians, and the designated transfer agent. These mechanisms ensure token transactions comply with current securities regulations. Consequently, Ondo bridges blockchain settlement capabilities with traditional U.S. financial market infrastructure.
Token holders gain voting access through Broadridge integration
Broadridge facilitates the initiative by delivering corporate governance tools for tokenized equity participants. Token holders receive issuer communications and mandatory regulatory disclosures via conventional distribution channels. Additionally, they gain access to ProxyVote.com for executing onchain proxy votes.
Ondo confirmed that token holders obtain shareholder rights and safeguards comparable to traditional brokerage account owners. These entitlements encompass issuer announcements and voting privileges connected to the underlying securities. This configuration establishes a robust link between tokenized securities and public market governance mechanisms.
This product launch also enhances Ondo’s broader real-world asset tokenization strategy. Beyond U.S. borders, its Global Markets platform facilitates over $1 billion in tokenized securities. That ecosystem encompasses more than 430 individual stocks and ETFs across various supported jurisdictions.
Ondo has also broadened its reach through strategic collaborations in recent periods. Last June, it partnered with Exodus to establish Exodus Markets on Solana. The platform provides qualified participants with access to tokenized equities, ETFs, and real-world assets.
This recent product release positions Ondo more prominently within the U.S. tokenization ecosystem. It merges Ethereum-based token issuance with conventional custody arrangements, voting systems, and compliance protocols. The outcome provides tokenized securities with enhanced clarity under prevailing U.S. securities regulations.
